I walked with Moka to the bus stop. I smiled going over her outfit again, she was stunning...even in normal everyday clothes. We're going on a club trip and surprisingly we're going to the human world.
I'm actually pretty excited. Moka was nervous and I understood it. She was scared...of humans which was an understandable feeling. She leaned against me and I wrapped an arm around her which looked weird cause I was way shorter than her.
The bus came over and everyone grinned. We were ready to go to the human world. I took her hand as we got onto the bus. I sat next to Moka and leaned my head on her shoulder. She smiled at me.
"You cuddly." She giggled. I shrugged. "Except the love~!" I hugged her and she giggled more. As we entered the human world I couldn't help but grin at all the sights. It was all so normal...I missed it.
I smiled softly and soon we were at the beach. I sat beside Moka not wanting to play volleyball. Well, they were just talking and hitting the ball. She leaned against me and we stared into the ocean.
She held my hand and I smiled. "The ocean is gorgeous..." She grinned and kissed my cheek. "Y/n! Come swim with us!" Kurumu yelled. Memories from the pool flooded my mind. I backed away from the water and shook my head.
I don't want to swim anymore...not after how selfish I was to Moka. "You should go swim Y/n! Don't let me hold you back okay?" I shook my head. "N-No...I don't want to swim anymore...after that day I just..."
I looked down. "I was so selfish Moka...I didn't even ask...I forced you to join a club that could have killed you! All because I'm a selfish asshole." I hid in my knees. "Y/n..." She hugged me and I leaned into her touch.
Instead, Moka and I walked up the hill which was covered in sunflowers. "Woah...it's absolutely stunning up here." I gently held a petal in my hand. "Yeah! They're so beautiful!" Moka hugged my arm smiling.
"They're healthy too...whoever is taking care of them is doing a great job." That's when I realized no one was around. I walked a little forward and overheard a couple talking about a witch.
"Witch hill?" "What's wrong Y/n?" "Before I came to Yokai Academy I lived near this place. I never knew the legend or the name of this place till now." She shivered and nuzzled close. "Let's get out of here Y/n..."
She was clearly terrified. I took her hand and smiled warmly. "it's just a legend Moka. Besides I don't think witches are as violent as the legends make them out to be, I mean look at Yukari. She's a sweetheart."
"I know but still..." I smiled. "Besides! You have a strong demon girlfriend who will protect you!" She giggled. "Your so sweet Y/n..." I blushed. "Ya know...we are alone here...Y/n..." She blushed and took my hands.
"Can I just have one taste?" I couldn't help but laugh at her question. "If I didn't know any better I'd think you only like me for my blood." "Wh-What!? That's not true!" I giggled and reached up and pat her head.
"I know Moka. I'm just teasing." She smiled. "I know." I hugged her which only ended in her biting me. I relaxed and closed my eyes but that's when I sensed something or someone beside us.
I pushed Moka away from me gently and looked around. Once I opened my eyes that feeling vanished. "Uh...Y/n?" I shook my head. "It's nothing...I thought someone was here...but I was wrong. Let's head back okay?"
She nodded and took my hand. "Let's go then!" Once we got back we started setting everything up. That's when I realized Yukari was looking a little down. No one was letting her help out.
I walked over to her and smiled. "You okay Yukari?" She shook her head. "Everyone's treating me like a child. They won't let me help." I ruffled her hair. "It's alright Yukari, they just don't want you to get hurt."
"I know but I'm big enough to help." "I know, just let them do this okay? I know it can be annoying but I think everyone sees you as a little sister ya know? They just want to protect you." Suddenly I sensed something.
I looked over to the hill. "Y/n?" I shook my head. "Go tell Moka I told you to help her out. If she doesn't let you then come back and I'll let you help me find some sticks for the fire okay?" She nodded.
As I waited for her that feeling came back. Something was calling me to that hill...I hadn't even noticed I left. I walked up it and stared at the beautiful flowers. It was lovely...but what was calling me here?
That's when I turned and saw a girl. She was a witch...I knew this because her energy was the same as Yukari's although hers was stronger. "A demon in the human world? That's a rare sight to see."
I took a step back. "How'd you know?" She ignored me. "Hi I'm Ruby, I'm a witch that lives here." She smiled softly. "I could sense your demonic power. Even if it hasn't been fully awakened I can tell your very powerful."
I blinked. "Wait so I'm still not at full strength? Spooky..." She giggled. "You seem rather docile for a demon. Tell me, do your parents know you hang around a vampire?" "I don't...my parents are gone..."
She tilted her head. "It's not common for demon parents to abandon their child..." I crossed my arms and glared. "Well, mine did. What do you want? Why was I called here?" She smirked. "So you could sense it..."
"What do you mean?" She held up a black rose, golden spider web gently covered it. Although it was a little hard to notice. "This may look like a normal rose but, it's actually a wand. A wand that demons use when feeding on a human's soul."
My eyes widened. "Demons...kill humans...?" She laughed. "Of course they do! Demons are heartless which is why I want to strike a deal with you." Whatever she wanted it couldn't be good...
