"What kind of deal?" She smiled and the words she said made my eyes widen. "No! Why the fuck would I want to kill humans!? I'm not doing it!" She laughed and pointed her wand at me. "You have no control over your emotions do you!?"
"What do you mean?" She smirked. "Your eyes, their blood red." Why do people feel the need to tell me that? I know when they change color! "I'm leaving. I don't need to be near a toxic witch."
As I turned I noticed Moka climbing up the hill. Once she noticed me she waved. "Hey-" Her smile dropped seeing Ruby. "Who's that?" "Oh...that's Ruby." I glared daggers at Ruby before walking over to Moka.
"Let's just go back to camp...she's a bad person." She growled. "If you won't kill the humans then you're useless to me!" Her wand began to glow and these plant creatures came from the ground.
They had sharp teeth and it was clear that they were a threat. "Devor them!" She yelled. I felt my form change as I took Moka's arm and flew into the air. "Y/n...why were you with her? What was she talking about?"
I tried to explain while dodging the killer plants. Moka looked surprised and looked down at the witch. "She just wants to protect her land?" I nodded. "I don't blame her but killing off the humans isn't going to work."
Moka nodded but screamed. I noticed we were surrounded. Before they could attack they were sliced into pieces by cards? Yukari! I looked over and saw the others there. I noticed that Ruby had wings and was flying.
She was blinded by rage and hatred. She wanted to protect her land, although she was in a lot of mental pain. Yukari took them out and collapsed from lack of energy. That must have taken a lot of energy.
I turned back to normal and hugged Moka. "Thanks for coming after me...Moka..." She smiled. "Of course Y/n." She went to kiss me and I was glad to kiss back but...pain filled my body. My eyes widened as I fell back.
Ruby had...attacked me...was I about to die? Moka's eyes widened and I could see the glow yet my hand never touched her rosario. "Y-Y/n.....Y/N!" She screamed. I think it was fair to say Moka and the others were pissed.
Their monster energy was overpowering. "M...Moka..." That's when everything went dark. I felt my body floating and heard crying. I sat up and looked around to see I was in the sunflower field...
Standing I realized Moka and the others were nowhere in sight. This didn't feel like reality though...this felt like...a memory. Yet it wasn't my memory it was someone else's. I turned and saw a tiny Ruby.
She was crying. What the hell? A woman comforted Ruby, holding her close. "You've really grown..." I turned and my eyes widened seeing my mother. My eyes narrowed and she smiled sadly.
"What the fuck is going on and why the hell are you here!?" She shook her head. "You are reading the memories of the land...the land is showing you Ruby..." I looked back to the blurred figure.
"I am so sorry I left you child." I glared. "You abandoned me! I had to fend for myself and here you are in my mind!? Stay away from me!" I shot up panting and looking around. I noticed Ruby asleep beside me.
I noticed the others hugging me but I squirmed free and looked around. "Where's Moka?" Kurumu pouted. "She's staring at the water." I left. I walked to her side and sat down, leaning on her shoulder.
She jumped in shock and quickly hugged me. "When did you wake up?" I hugged her back. "Moka...what happened...that light..." She shook her head. "I don't know...she just broke through...I was so scared you had died..."
"I didn't....I would never leave your side..." She smiled and kissed me. My eyes widened in surprise but I soon relaxed and kissed back cupping her face. She pulled away and placed her forehead on mine.
"I was so worried." I smiled. "I know but I'm okay now..." Suddenly Kurumu and the others ran up to us. "Ruby is gone!" I stood and pulled Moka to her feet. "Are we really going to look for her?" Moka questioned.
"Moka...something or someone is forcing her to think this way...we have to help her. At least give her a chance to change." She nodded and we all ran back to the field hoping to find her. Vines surround everyone's body.
Everyone broke free except Moka. I ran to her but the monsters separated us. Well, we became buried in the monsters. I closed my eyes and focused. Maybe like before I could sense where she was...
I could hear her screams and sense her life force below me. As I sank down I saw the glow of her rosario and reached for it. I took it off and the light returned. From the brightness of it, I could tell she was enraged.
I fell but she caught me, glaring at Ruby. "You harmed my mate again?" I was confused until I felt a burn on my right arm. I looked and saw a huge gash on my arm...it was bleeding pretty bad.
"Moka..." She set me down and looked back at Ruby. "You're really starting to get on my nerves." As Moka and the others started to fight I could only think of one thing to do. I needed to speak with her ladyship.
I stood feeling my body sway from the blood loss but it didn't stop me. I ran towards the manor. It was the only way to end this madness! Two giant plant monsters blocked my way but I just flew past them and into the manor.
I ran into every room calling out for her ladyship. Once I finally got to the room I realized the cruel and harsh reality...her ladyship was dead. Everything made so much more sense now...why Ruby was freaking out.
She was greaving...over the loss of her mother. I flew back to Moka and Ruby, Moka being tied up and restrained. "RUBY!" I yelled. She turned to me. "You have to let go and accept it!" "What are you talking about demon?"
"Your ladyship, she's dead!" "Wh-What...no she's not! She's still alive!" Moka looked at us in confusion. "I know it hurts Ruby but the reality is that she's gone! You need to end this now! Accept it!"
"SHES NOT!" She shivered and fell to her knees sobbing. Reality had hit her like a rock...I know she's in pain. I walked over to her and hugged her. "It's okay...I could feel her love for you Ruby..."
Ruby just cried until finally she broke and her powers became blinded. In a flash of light, she became the monsters she had created. I flew into the air as I felt something form in my hand. I noticed it was a sword.
She began to absorb Moka's power and she cried out in pain. I had to end this...now. I flew towards her and cut free her wand. I snatched it and broke it. After that, I felt myself falling. I was caught by Moka.
I looked up at her drained of energy. She chuckled. "You look so helpless right now." I smiled and flicked her forehead. "I did it for you...I wanted to save my love..." She smiled and held me close.
"You two are so gross," Kurumu said crossing her arms. I just flipped her off and leaned against Moka. "Fuck you, fuck this, and fuck life. I'm happy with Moka." I kissed Moka's cheek and she gently took my chin.
"You missed beautiful." She purred before kissing me passionately on the lips. I fell asleep just like that and with no regrets.
