As soon as we arrived at the location, I couldn't take my eyes off from the tall green trees and the natural scents of nature. There was a lake from the side and a soft wind rub its surface of the water. Leaves were dancing, and the chirping of birds was heard.I thought it will be boring, but this place is pretty good. I can't imagine there is still a place like this. Trees in the city have been tortured by humans and you can barely see the trees growing naturally. I'm thinking what earth will look like after several years if we didn't take care of it.
I inhale the fresh air and open my camera to take a picture. I took a shot of the surroundings and some shots of my classmates. I turn around and saw her fixing her things at the trunk of her car. My hand involuntary lifted my camera and pointed it to her. A lovely subject indeed.
The sound of my camera caught her attention, she look at my direction but I abruptly look somewhere else. After a moment of appreciating the nature, I took my things inside the bus but I couldn't find my tent. My classmates chose to bring their own tent as they don't want to use the school tent. I struggle to find it and decided to ask Ms. Gonzales.
"Ma'am G, have you seen my tent? I couldn't find it inside the bus po." I politely asked, she jump a little maybe because of my sudden presence. "Oh you're here na pala, dear. Your mom called me that you forgot it sa bahay niyo." Her voice is gentle and nice. Why do older women's voice is very sweet? Unlike Ms. Marcos, colder than Antarctica.
"Ganito nalang, tatanungin ko yung mga girls kung sino yung may extra space para maki join ka muna, okay? Kapag wala, dito ka nalang saakin. Malaki naman ang tent ko, good for two." She shared and continue to fix it.
I groan because of my stupidity, how could I forget one of the important thing that need the most? We travel for two hours and it'll be ridiculous if I ask my mom to bring my tent here. I sighed knowing that their tent is good for one person only except Ms. Gonzales, it'll be awkward sleeping beside your teacher even tho she's kind. I look around and everyone's seems busy and happily organizing their things. My sight spotted my friends who also fixing their tent.
"How's your ride with Ms. Marcos?" Cath wiggled her eyebrows and elbowed me. If someone heard her words will probably think differently. Margaret just chuckled while walking closer to us.
"Cath, you better lower down your voice or else iba ang iisipin ng makakarinig saiyo." Maggie said with her feminine yet husky voice. She pouted and clung her arms around me, " Oo na, oo na." Cath mumbled defeatedly.
"Guys, I need you attention please," Ms. Gonzales clap her hands to caught everyone's attention. Everyone went quiet and turned their focus to Ms. G.," one of your classmates forgot her tent and if you guys have a extra space baka puwede niyo munang ipagamit." She shout a lil bit.
I bowed my head because of embarrassment. Yes, I'm stupid. Margaret tuck in the strand of my hair behind my ear, "Why didn't you tell us agad?" Cath nodded to Maggie's remark. " Do you want me text my dad and ask one of his workers to bring your the tent?" she almost whispered not wanting to brag of who she is. I almost forgot that she's a daughter of Makati Mayor.
"Meron po saakin," a handsome boy offered and smiled at me but I didn't bother to smile back. No thanks.
"Girls only, students." Ms. G. calmly said. I saw how Ms. Marcos went closer to Ms. Gonzales, after a moment she told to the students to went back on their business which they gladly did.
"Puwede ka naman sa tent ko, kahit hindi ako makahinga okay lang." Cath seriously said, I playfully punch her arms, "sira." I uttered.
"Ms. Ariella, teacher Marcos told me na puwede kang maki share sa tent niya since malaki naman. Go ahead and fix your things already." She tapped my shoulder before heading back to her tent.
My friends' lips form in an "O" in disbelief. "What the heck? You're gonna sleep with our teacher?" Maggie silently squealed. What on earth she was talking about? They're probably have the same thoughts right now. "Oy,oy, oy!" Cath tickled my side but I playfully tap her hand on my waist.
"Go ahead and fix your things na!" Maggie and Cath plastered a cheeky smile. I just rolled my eyes at them and decided to leave them behind.
I feel so uneasy while I was walking towards her direction, why would she allow me to take her free space? I thought she don't want me, and I thought I can call my day complete without actually seeing or talking to her but I was wrong. I was drown to my own thoughts and didn't realize I was standing in front of her.
"You can go inside and put your things there." She coldly uttered and walk passed by me. Her scents filled the atmosphere inside of her tent, and I saw her things at the edge. They looks expensive and seems like she was the only who has the right to hold it.
I made sure that everything is settled before deciding to have a look outside. We will gonna stay here for two nights, and I don't know what to feel knowing that I'll sleep beside her two freaking night. Not gonna lie, I love it.
"Lunch is ready, guys!" Mr. Jonathan happily announced. There was a two long table and long wooden chair at the side of the lake where we will gonna eat. Every students and teachers excitingly took their seat to savour the seafood on the table.
"Scoot over," my soul left my body for awhile when I heard her voice behind me. I moved a little so she could take a seat beside me. Goodness of all saints, are you gonna test me with this woman? I mentally crying.
Everyone's busy and happily eating their food while me and her just stay quiet. How could she be so sexy using her bare long fingers to eat? I unconsciously stared on her hand and slightly lick my lips. I tried my best not be affected by her presence but she is too attractive and tempting to be resisted.
I just ended up taking the shrimp in front of me and I couldn't peel off its skin. What's wrong with you?! I was mentally arguing with the shrimp when a soft hand took it in my hand, "watch me how to do it," she murmured. It's always her sweet gestures.
"Here," she put it in front of my banana leaves plate, and I was amazed how she cleanly did it.
"You have a grain of rice on your face." She said with her low tone not wanting others to hear it. Thankfully, we're at the edge of the long table and everyone's seems busy consuming their food. I consciously rub my palm on my face and turn at her, "wala na ba?" I said in a almost whispered way.
I was bombarded when her other hand touched my face, it was a light feeling supersede in my chest. "Ayan, wala na." She flashed a tight smile before turning her attention on her food. I was screaming internally with her actions. There are days she looks and act sweet, but there are days that she act like a completely heartless person.
All I know is I'm falling harder.
