Ariella knocked Margaret's doorstep with her pathetic situation. She was startled at first but she immediately hugged her best friend. Ariella broke down in her arms while Maggie guided her inside.
"What happened?!" She furiously asked, "it's Luis." Her friend's jaw clenched as she knew in the first place how idiosyncratic he is.
She suppressed Maggie for calling the cops as it will make a huge disturbance. On the other hand, Maggie decide to gave her a first aid and prepare a hot soup for her. Seeing her friend in a distressing state hurts her a lot.
"He won't find you here," she said and sit beside her, "have you made a call with Ms. Marcos? She need to know your situation," Maggie held her hand as she noticed her gloomy eyes.
"Y- yeah. She'll be here later." She replied. Maggie just simply pulled her for a comforting tight hug. They stay there for a couple of minutes and they didn't notice someone else's presence.
"Ariella.." The young woman look over her shoulder only to see the woman with her worried look. They immediately withdraw from the hug and she ran over her.
Her arms snaked around the woman as if there's no tomorrow while the woman embraced Ariella with all of her.
"I'll give you two a moment," Margaret excused herself.
"I should have not let you to be with him," she whispered with a single drop of tear from her right eye.
Ariella looked at her in the eyes and wiped her wet cheek. She brushed her lips towards the woman soft lips, devouring each other's warm mouth.
"I miss you," Ariella whispered between their kisses, "don't leave me this time," they look to each other's eyes with their sincere love as if they own the world now.
" I'll bring you to my house in Oakland, we'll be there until everything settled in," says the woman, "what if he didn't stop looking for me?" worriedly says the girl.
Ariella saw the anger and jealousy she hadn't see in his eyes for almost 5 years of their relationship. She realized that no matter how innocent looking a person can be, they can be a deadliest if they chose to.
" I need to make sure you are safe. I will do anything just to protect you, okay?" The young woman got a little worried about the woman as she knew that her ex- boyfriend would probably tell it to his father. She was aware how abusive and obsessed Greggy is with his ex- wife.
After thanking Margaret, they decided to leave and flew to Oakland. She informed her parents that the wedding was cancelled but didn't tell the whole reason behind it.
After an hour and almost half a minutes, they arrived at the terminal and proceed to their destination. Ariella put down her luggages and roamed her eyes around to not so huge house with its minimalist designs.
Irene could see the uneasiness in the young woman's eyes, she went closer to her and pulled her hands, " I know how messed up our situation is, but I'll assure you that everything's gonna be alright," she smiled and caressed the woman's hand.
"I trust you. This is the best decision I've made so far, "they both chuckled as the woman embraced her with her arms.
The woman brought her upstairs and they stood side by side at the balcony while the sun was slowly setting in the horizon.
" Look how beautiful it is," says the woman. "Very beautiful," whispered the girl while looking at the woman. Irene pulled her in her side while the young woman rested her head in her chest, watching the mesmerizing sunset. Ariella felt the happiness in her heart thinking how peaceful it is when she's in woman's arms.
