Life is full of surprises, some people die in a very unexpected way and some are getting married at the very young age. It is sometimes frightening when you think more than it should be about that kind of stuffs and sometimes putting yourself on it. Crazy isn't?Just like Irene, at her age she starting to be worried-- not actually worried but the thought of getting older without someone in her side. She prioritize herself too much and forgot that she's also living and have life behind her success.
That girl suddenly crossed her mind. She was precious and strange-- she's strange in a good way. She was young and innocent, surely, life would favour her to give the life she deserved. A mature girl who caught her attention at the moment her eyes laid on her. She has never felt peculiar to anyone, but every time she close to her; she wants to hold in her arms and make the young girl feel how she was worth loving.
She wants Ariella to own her, to utter her name with her sweet lips, and to be called she's heirs. She closed her eyes and reminisce the touch of a young girl against her skin.
The spark of her eyes, the sweet curve of her lips, and her stares that could melt a thousand of ice."What are you doing to me, Ariella.." It was a phrase rather than a question. Seeing her with another girl make her blood boild and she hates herself as she couldn't control it.
"Are you..okay?" A familiar voice made her open her eyes. She was quite surprised and embarrassed as she thought she heard her. Irene almost forgot she was in her advisory classroom.
"Jesus Christ! How long have you been standing there?" She anxiously asked.
"I- I just arrived here, Ms. G asked me to bring you a bottle of water." She awkwardly handed it to her, Irene sigh in relief and nodded.
"Ariella," She called out as her own hand traveled on her hair and wishing Ariella won't notice that it is one of her tick when she's nervous.
"If it's personal question, I respectfully telling you that I'm not gonna answer it." She half-smiled to the woman in front of her. Teacher Marcos was quite astonished to her sudden attitude, she tried to read her eyes only to see the emptiness on it.
"U-Uhm," She stuttered as she was still in surprise how Ariella behaved, "Nothing. Let's talk in another time." She seems not convinced and went closer to her, "What is it?" Ariella asked and tilt her head. The tall woman look uneasy as her young student challenging what inside her that she can't also figure out.
"Are you mad at me?" She finally had the courage to say it, Ariella snorted. "Why did you ask, ma'am ?" She teased her emphasizing the last word.
"You've changed. You were not the girl who used to be cheeky around, the girl who always flashed her genuine smile. Where are those now?" She practically asked, her face softened.
You really can't say if a person really changed when they chose to hide how you pictured them before and protect themselves from it.
"Why? Are not you entertain anymore?" She want it to sound like a normal question but it turns out to be a sarcastic one. She wants to break down and tell her how much she meant to her, but she wants to give herself morality and an importance as a person.
"Excuse me?" Irene asked in disbelief. Ariella sigh and look at her.
"People change and so did I." She simply answered and excused herself to leave.
