•Izel arrived at the Mikaelson's early in the morning. She'd heard the voices again, this time urging her to kill them at all costs. She, on the other hand, believed they were mistaken. They didn't need to be put to death. They were fine, just in a state of mourning.

Anya was already there, reading through Esther's grimoire. She inquired as to what they were up to and if she could assist in any way, but Esther simply stated that there was nothing anyone could do at that time and that she should look for Finn.

She eventually tracked him down at their lake, where he was lounging on the grass and throwing rocks into the water.

Izel sat alongside him, silently and tenderly. She gave him a brief glance before resting her head on his shoulder and grasping his rock-holding hand.

There was silence. Both sat in silence, content in each other's company.

"Mother has requested me to go and visit my sister for a bit till she gives birth," they spoke for a long time before Izel guiltily piped up.

     Finn didn't respond, just nodded.

Izel was at a loss for what to do. She'd never seen him like this before. She knew he was unhappy; she was sad, too, but she had never lost someone or had to deal with a loss quite like this. Finn, her beloved, had to bear with it twice now. She pitied him, his mother, and the rest of the family.

As he moved closer to her, she placed her arms around him. His brow is now pressed against her racing heart.

He had been anticipating your arrival. Waiting for his sadness to pass and him to resume his journey. But, like last time, he can't just turn off his feelings whenever he wants.

He was simply grateful that Izel was with him, nearby and not abandoning him.

"I love you," he muttered, closing his eyes and fighting back tears. Henrik's death reminded him of Freya's departure.

For the second time that day, Izel wept. The first time was when she awoke, knowing that even worse things were about to happen, and she was terrified for Finn and his siblings.

She was crying this time because she cared about him. She felt as if she was the one dealing with his sadness, despite the fact that she had never experienced it. She despised seeing him in this state.

"I love you too," she replied as a single tear fell down her cheek. She took his face in her hands and rested her forehead on his, their noses barely touching.

"Can you tell me when you'll be back?" He wanted to know. He didn't want to be alone, but he knew she'd be better off with her sister. His mother had been preparing something he could sense was not going to be good. This was a point of contention between Anya and his mother. She desired to immortalise her children. He understood it was a bad plan that could alter with the laws of nature, but she insisted that she couldn't afford to lose any more of her children.

Before responding, Izel sniffed a little "I'm not certain. I suppose till she delivers birth."

Finn only nodded before straightening up and taking her hands in his, lightly kissing her knuckles. Even though he was much taller than her, he placed his head on her shoulders.

She gave him a lingering kiss, one that he wished lasted forever, before gazing out over the lake, waiting for the sun to fall and the night to overcome.

She desired to be with him indefinitely. But, alas, forever does not necessarily equal half the time.

Ehe, i think i said a few chapters ago that this would be the last chapter but surprise! It's not. Yeah..... Took a bit longer than expected i know. There will at least be 3 more chapters, AT LEAST!

So I've been really stressed this week. We've just started school and it's friggin high school and i hate it. I've only made two friends which I'm not even that familiar with and there are these friends whom I go to and from school with but they both have friends and i often feel left out. I have a hard time making friends and speaking up. My social anxiety does not help at all whatsoever.

Anyhoo... I hope you like this chapter and you can also imagine Lily James as the sister but she doesn't make an appearance so it's not that important.

I really do hope you enjoyed this chapter <3
