•At dusk, Izel and Finn were strolling through the meadows. It was beautiful. The sun setting, the clouds were soft red and light orange.
"The day is almost dead," Izel whispered quietly as she closed her eyes.
Finn stared at her as if she'd brought the moon into being. He was head over heels in love with this girl, who had no idea.
Izel has already noticed a few stars, which has caused her to glance up and marvel at the sky. "It's lovely, isn't it?" She asked, her gaze fixed on the sky.
"Yeah, it is," he said, looking at her. When he realised he'd been staring at her for a long time, he looked away.
"Esther told me of your..." She paused for a moment, unsure whether or not to continue, but eventually said, "Sister."
Finn locked his gaze on her once more. What he had just heard astounded him. His mother, who doesn't even know his sister, told this girl about the daughter she handed away.
"I'm so sorry for your loss," Izel sighed. As Izel stared at Finn, he said nothing. She gave a nod before stating, "I had a brother. He left us five months after his birth. Now it's just my elder sister and I."
Finn finally turned his head to face her and sighed, but he remained silent. Slowly and delicately, he rubbed his palms against hers.
She gave him a friendly grin and grasped his hand in hers. She interlaced their fingers before returning her gaze to the heavens.
The timing was ideal. The sun had barely fallen and there was peace. Izel had a bubbly feeling in the pit of her stomach, while Finn has never felt this joyful with another.
"IZEL!"
She sighed, drew her hands away from his and turned to face him. "This has been fun, dear Finn. I shall see you again tomorrow," she then walked away. She offered him a wave after one last glance.

When he returned home, Esther asked, "How was your day, Finn?"
He just nodded and walked up to his brothers.
Kol grinned as soon as he noticed his brother not responding to their mother and decided to take advantage of the situation.
Kol joked, "I saw you with Izel," while Elijah, Klaus, and Henrik cooed.
Finn gave his siblings a sidelong glance but remained silent. He didn't want them to get their ways.
"Were you with Izel?" Esther asked, her curiosity piqued.
"They were, indeed! At sun down," Kol snitched while laughing hard.
"Be quiet, you little insect!" Finn yelled at him as he became annoyed with their playing as if they hadn't been with women in the day either.
Kol hid behind Elijah for shelter, while Klaus observed his brothers and laughed, which was quickly silenced when Mikael entered the room.

"Where do you want me to put this, mother?" Izel inquired, her bag slung across her shoulder.
Her mother said, "Just out over there." She looked and her daughter and began to say, "I saw you with the Mikaelson boy."
"Don't start, mother," Izel said, rolling her eyes. She tucked the bag away in a corner.
"I didn't say anything," Ginerva laughed as she chopped some vegetables.
"What are you saying? Does this have anything to do with the Mikaelson kid?" Her father finally approached her and guessed what his wife was laughing about. Izel sighed and retired to her bed.
Eztli began, "You know how much I like the boy. Perhaps this year would be it."
Ginerva said somberly, "I understand. But you're familiar with Mikael's nature. He is far too harsh and I fear he will make our child bitter."
Eztli groaned and said, "We need to find her a husband as quickly as possible. People are already talking."
"I understand. It's simply that I don't want her to be miserable in her marriage," Ginerva remarked as she went closer to Eztli. She looked at him with wide eyes before kissing his cheeks and laid her head on his shoulder.
Eztli lovingly kissed the top of his wife's head before adding, "It's beyond midnight, my darling and tomorrow's the full moon. Let's get some rest."
What they didn't realise was that Izel hadn't fallen asleep yet and had heard everything. She didn't want to make a big deal out of it, but she couldn't stop thinking about it even though it was nothing serious.
