Cherry had found herself staring through another window as the doctors did their work on Accelerator as she had still been in tears by what had just occurred. Sunset Shimmer her friend, betraying her trust and Accelerator having to be hospitalized for surgery. Even after she told her they were better off not doing it she still went for it anyway.
She had no idea how much Accelerator had been hurting right now. True, Cherry herself wanted to know what happened to him before they were here, before they even met Yami. But she was patient with him, she could tell he was pacing himself. Just from his actions he knew it must've been hard to say it out loud, and yet—
—She just couldn't understand how Sunset could do something that could hurt him.
She sat by his bedside as she had a softened and worried look.
"He's stable now--" The doctor said, "--With plenty of rest he'll be back on his feet."
Cherry nodded before she said "thank you."
Yami told the doctor, "How long is he gonna be in for?
"He should rest for a few days before we can transfer him back to the rehab center." The doctor replied
Yami sighed as he said "As long as he recovered by then, it'll be okay."
As the doctor left, Cherry couldn't help but tear up before she said, "Why....Why would Sunset do this? Why would she even after I asked her not to..."
Yami sighed as he said "I wish I knew." Her noticed Cherry had tears rolling down her eyes as she began to cry. Yami sighed as he said. "Hey, it's okay."
"Bu-But I feel like I'm the one at fault." Cherry said, "... Maybe it was better if I didn't get involved."
"The opposite actually." Yami said. "You know, the kid wasn't a fan of your friends. He thought of them as Sellouts who are only doing this for fame and money. But I assume that's not the case right?"
"Yeah, but... I never thought Sunset would do such a thing in the first place..." Cherry said, "I thought she respected other people's personal problems, but... I feel really guilty."
"I read what she did in the past, it said she cleaned up her act--maybe she doesn't regret her choice..or maybe she's feeling what you're feeling right now." Yami said
"But... If I hadn't said anything then maybe Accel wouldn't have had to--" Cherry started to say before she was suddenly interrupted when Yami suddenly gave her head a bonk as she yelped.
"Would you quit feeling sorry for yourself?" Yaminsaid. "Look, I get you feeling bad but there's not much we can do. We can't change the past." Yami paused before he added, "Though that doesn't mean we can do something in the now."
"But--" She started to say.
Yami only bonked her again before she could finish, "Seriously, what did i just say?" he sighed as he said. "You remind me of a student of mine. She's only a year younger, but she always has the need to take responsibility, even if she wasn't the direct cause of it."
"Hoe?" Cherry said, confused.
"In other words, you're doing what she does daily. Especially when a certain pair always argues." Yami told her.
"... Then... What should I do?" Cherry asked.
"Simple. You move forward." Yami said.. "It's all we can do, after all, we're only human."
"Coach!"
Both of them were taken back when the door suddenly burst open. Asta came running in but he couldn't stop himself as he ended up hitting the wall. "OWOWOWOWOW!!" Asta exclaimed, "THAT HURTS!"
