Ae's POV:

I was listening to everything carefully that Pete narrated to me. "Pete, can you promise me that you will trust me and not listen to anyone else? I don't want to see you getting hurt. If you were burden for me, I wouldn't have tried to stay with you and protect you. I never felt so happy and comfortable with anyone beside you. So remember, if henceforth anyone tells you that you are not worth, just remember that you melted a cold hearted person like me." I cleared.

I wanted Pete to know what he meant for me and why was he important for me. "Ae.... But I can't see you. How will I ever make you happy?" he questioned. "Just your presence is enough to make me happy. You need not do anything. Just stay with me. Can you do that?" I asked. He nodded in response and then snuggled closer to me.

"Pete, take some rest now. I have something important to deal with. Stay inside the room till I return. Okay?" I spoke while helping Pete to lie down. "Will it take long?" he inquired. "Nope... just few minutes. I'll just tell Can what to do and return." I assured.

"Okay... I'll be waiting for you." He replied. It sounded so good hearing from him that he will be waiting for me. "I'll be quick then..." I said with a beaming smile and kissed his forehead. "Take some rest." I said while I climbed down the bed and headed to the door.

"Come soon Ae..." Pete said in a soft voice. "Yes dear..." I replied while I made my way out of the room and down the stairs. I didn't waste time roaming here and there and directly headed to the basement. I can hear the loud screams coming from inside and it felt really soothing for my heart. Traitors should know what I can do to them.

The two guards standing on the either side of the door moved quickly to open the door for me. I stepped in and removed my suit and handed it to the person standing at the door. "All three are there?" I inquired.

"Yes sir. Sir Can is busy with the investigation." He informed. Well, that means, Can is already enjoying himself. I made my way to the room and I can hear the sound of screaming grow louder and louder. "For how long you have been working for him?" I can hear Can's voice coming from inside.

I stepped into the room to see the set up. The hands of the three traitors were tied with ropes that were hanging from top. The ropes were connected to a pulley that would move around. "I swear Can... I am not working for him." Bas said in a tired voice. "You sure?" Can asked again and Bas shook his head in denial. The next moment, Can signaled the person sitting to handle the machinery and the person pulled the lever and Bas was lifted up. He was moved to the large vessel containing boiling water.

"Can... Stop this!! You are not going to do this. I swear I am not supporting him." Bas began to plead. "Sure you are not." Can replied. "Lower him!!" Can commanded. The person moved the lever to lower Bas so that his feet were immersed in boiling water.

"Arggghhh!! Ahhhh... Cannnnnnn... Stop this.... Ahhhhh..." Bas's voice began to echo through the room. I was satisfied hearing him scream. You have to pay a price for betrayal. There is no escape. I moved my gaze to the other two who were trembling in fear after looking at the view.

Fear is something that can weaken a greatest person. It makes you do things that you never want. It makes you kill, snatch, betray, steal, cry...... everything. When fear rules your heart even your brain is not able to think rationally.

Can motioned to the person and he lifted Bas up and then moved him back to the earlier position. The water was dripping down from his legs and I can see that the feet have turned red. Bas was now whimpering with pain.

Can was about to ask more question when a cell phone started to ring. "Let's see who has called you." Can said to Bas and moved towards the device placed on the table. I stepped closer to see the name but there was only number flashing.
