Colours Of Life

Ae's POV:
We were sitting on beach with Pete's head resting on my shoulder and my gaze fixed on the waves that were crashing on the shore and retrieving back. I never knew that just watching this view with someone beside you could be this calming.

I slowly began to realise that whenever I wanted to be alone to find peace, it was usually because I wanted my other half beside me. That feeling of emptiness was so much profound back then. I never knew that I was searching for that person so badly till now.

I smiled realising that I have finally found peace. The sun had already set and the grey, pink and orange shades were adorning the sky. Meanings of colours too change when you have the right person beside you. I never liked any other colour beside black but now, looking at the sky, I realise how beautiful other colour looks when mixed together.

"Ae, what are you thinking?" Pete's question made me snap out of my thoughts and then look at him. "How did you know that am thinking something." I inquired. "You have been quiet for a while now. All I could hear is the noise of other people and the beautiful sound of waves crashing on shores. And when you busy thinking something, you are usually quiet." Pete replied.

I never noticed that he was so observant about others behaviour. It felt rather contrasting thinking about it. Pete cannot see and here I am calling him observant. I chuckled at my own thought drawing Pete's attention to me.

"Ae, what happened?" His concerned tone reached my ear. "Nothing... It was my own stupid brain thinking some nonsense..." I replied. The sky was slowly growing dark and I observed some of the people leaving the place. They were all family people who were out here for a small time with their kids.

I never had been looking at what people around me were doing because I never had anything in my mind beside my business and gang. But now, I was noticing things, people and everything around me. How beautiful it would have been if I too had a small family of mine....

But I pushed the thought to back of my mind. I have Pete and he is enough for me. I dont want to think about anything else. I smiled and rested my head against Pete.

"Ae.... Thank you for bringing me here. I wanted to visit beach from so long. I wish I could tell you how I feel. You made my dream come true." Pete said. I smiled upon hearing those words.

"What else did you dream about?" I asked. "Ummm... Nothing much... One wish you fulfilled when we met first. The cake which you bought on the day we met, I always wished to have it. That smell itself was so delicious. And now, you brought me here. What else could I ask for??" Pete replied

"You can ask for anything and everything you want. I will give you. From now on, you need not stop yourself. I am there to take care of all expenses." I assured. I need to speak to Tin about Pete's doctor.

I had been planning for this long but that time Pete wouldn't have agreed with the idea of getting operated. Mainly for the fact that it was going to be me who would pay for the operation. But now, since I have already confessed my feelings, I wouldn't have to struggle much to convince him.

I was brought out of thoughts when Pete called my name, "AE!!!" It was a bit louder and I guess I was lost in my thoughts again.

"Yes my love, what happened?" I inquired. Pete giggled at the pet name but then replied, "I was saying that it's getting cold. We should return home. Tin and Can might be back and waiting for us."

"Love, they won't show up for two days so don't think about them. Let me take you out for a dinner. Let me give you a feel about date." I said while moving to get up.

I picked Pete in my arms and then began to walk back towards my cat. I can see few people stealing glances at us but I was least bothered. What mattered to me right now was the beauty in my arms
