Ae's POV:

I stayed with Pete hugging him close to me to ensure myself that I wasn't dreaming. It had been quite some time now and Pete was fast asleep. I looked at his face studying his features. He looked cute in his sleep with pouted lips and little snores along with his messy hairs. Then I saw the dried stains of tears on his face. They must be from the earlier incident when Dew and Mrs Su had captured him.

I slightly touched his cheek feeling the soft and warm skin against my rough and calloused hands. He was like a precious flower in my dark kingdom. Hours have passed since Pete had fallen asleep. It's already 4.00 am in morning and I am still wide awake. Just then my cell phone started to ring and I fished it out and saw the name of technical head flashing on it. I pressed the answer button and placed the phone against my ear.

"Hello?" I greeted. "Boss, we were able to track Two and our people have already found him. They are bringing him back." He informed. "That's great!! How long till they return?" I inquired. "They'll be here by morning." He said. "Alright... Thank you and keep up the good work." I encouraged before moving to disconnect the call.

Pete seemed to have been woken up from the talking as he stirred a bit and opened his eyes. "Ae.... What time is it?" he asked. "It's 4 o'clock in the morning." I replied. "You didn't sleep yet?" he questioned.

"No... I was just waiting for a call. We had lost a contact with one of the member of our gang who went on a mission. It's been a month now. And we were finally able to track him and he is coming back in morning." I informed.

"Does this person mean a lot to you?' Pete questioned. "Actually.... Yes, he does. Because he is my brother's happiness. Can was in relationship with him and since he had disappeared, Can was finding it really hard to concentrate on work. Now everything will be falling in place." I said.

"Why don't you get some sleep?" he asked. "Well, I need to inform Can about this. He is busy with some work." I stated. "He didn't sleep?" Pete was a bit shocked to hear that. "No... No one has slept. Since you disappeared, everyone was doing their work more thoroughly. And since Two is returning, all are happy." I said.

"You can sleep some more.... I'll be here beside you." I assured. "No khrab... I am fine. I am also happy to know that Can is going to finally meet the person whom he had not seen for a month. I hope Tin too comes back soon." Pete spoke. I can hear the disappointment in his tone.

"I'll search for him. Don't worry." I promised. "Thank you khrab Ae..." Pete spoke. I can feel the little flicker of hope in his voice.

Third Person POV:

Meanwhile, in the basement, Can was in full swing to punish the traitors. He had already decided that he was not going to leave even a single stone upturn in this matter. Bas, whom Can had tortured initially had already passed out from pain and exhaustion so Can moved his investigation to the other two.

He decided to interrogate Mrs Su before talking to Dew. "So, how long have you been working for dark snake?" Can inquired. "We are not working for him." The women defended herself. "My dear..... Please have a look at Bas. You can see what happens when you try to lie or betray. Now.... Either you tell me the truth or I'll find my way out." Can offered.

Mrs Su's face went pale as she recalled what has happened to Bas and she began to speak, "We had been working for him for long time. My husband worked for him and when he passed away, we too were involved. We didn't have much to do since the work was really small like gathering info or delivering goods. This was the first time he asked us to do something big."

"Good... You can have a rest for a while till I have a word with your son." Can said while moving in the direction of Dew. "Ae said that you have been mingling in his business for quite some time now. So, how long have you been providing information to dark snake about him." Can inquired.
