The streets were silent as the blanket of darkness had enveloped around. The flickering lights of the lamps on the side lane provided very little light to the people passing by. It was rare that someone would dare coming to this place at this hour of the day.

On the completely deserted street a person was running for his life. His hand was injured and blood was dripping down his arm. There were two people following his trail, dressed in black and holding guns. The poor person lost his balance and felt to the ground.

He tried to get up desperately but he was too late since the two people already stood in front of him. "You thought you will be able to survive after betraying us?" one of them asked. "I am sorry... Please forgive me... this won't be repeated again." The person started begging for his life.

"Your apologies won't bring back the people I lost. So, to compensate for it, you will have to lose your life." The person in the black clothes stated while aiming the gun at him. All the pleas felt on deaf ears as the next moment, he pulled the trigger and shot the person. There wasn't any sound since the gun was fitted with silencer.

"Discard the body and get rid of the evidence." The person ordered while moving to leave the crime scene. "Where are you going?" the other asked. "To find peace. Just do your work and leave. I'll return home in a while." The person ordered. "Alright.... Take care Ae..." the other person said.

The said person hummed in response and began to walk through the empty streets as the other person began to take care of the corpse. Ae needed some time alone and it was only when he would pass through these deserted streets that he felt a little comfortable. It was as if the darkness provided him some kind of warmth.

He has walked a little distance when he stumbled upon something. "Oops... I am sorry... are you hurt?" Ae heard a soft voice asking him if he was fine. He looked up only to find a young lad around his age standing with a stick in his hand. Ae expected for the boy to get scared and run away but it didn't happen. Rather, the person was looking in some other direction while inquiring if Ae was fine.

Ae got up immediately and wiped off the dirt on his pants. "Where are you looking?" Ae asked. The person than turned his head in the direction of the sound and spoke, "I am sorry. It's my fault that you felt down." He said.

"That's alright. Why are you wearing these black goggles at night? You are not even able to see the person coming." Ae said. The person in front of him smiled as he turned around and began to walk. Ae was left dumbfounded since the person didn't even reply to his question.

"Hey!! I asked you something." Ae shouted following the person. "You already answered your own question." The person replied. "What do you mean?" Ae asked curiously. Just then, Ae's gaze landed on the way the person was walking in. He was using his stick and taking careful steps.

"WATCH OUT!!" Ae shouted pulling the person towards him. The branch of one of the tree happen to fall and Ae was quick enough to pull the person away. The sound of the falling branch echoed through the place and the person began to tremble.

"Are you alright?" Ae asked as he began to examine the lad. "I am fine. What was that sound?" the person inquired. "You didn't see the branch that would have crushed you just now?" Ae questioned a bit annoyed.

"If I would have seen the branch, I would have protected myself." The person replied. "What do you mean?" Ae felt it a little strange hearing those words. "I cannot see.... I am blind..." the person replied. Now, Ae felt guilty for having been rude to him.

"I am so sorry. I didn't mean to be rude. I didn't know that you cannot see." Ae began to apologize. "That's alright. You don't know me and I don't expect each and every person I meet to know about my condition. It must be getting late. I should return home." The person said pulling away from Ae's embrace.
