Y/n could hear Adam argue with the man from the backyard. She had finished vomiting her guts out and she felt lightheaded, all of the food and liquids she had consumed were now in the grass as she shakily got up and brought herself back to the house.

She stumbled next to her brother, who let her lean on him, knowing she had a weak stomach and was often lightheaded. The man surprisingly gave her a cup of water, with the exact medicine prescribed to he for when she had bad anxiety episodes. It made her lightheadedness go away and it calmed down her nerves. She looked at him confused out of her mind, but he just motioned to the cup.

"I'm gonna go upstairs, grab some stuff. Stay cool. You can trust me." The man said and Adam looked at him suspiciously, as Y/n took her medicine and chugged her cup of water.

"Easy for you to say. I'm the one who ends up in a therapist's office, telling them about where the bad man touched me." Adam joked as he followed the man, Y/n rolled her eyes at her brother as she followed behind them slowly so she didn't stumble.

"Oh God! That's where you go? Immediately? You are dark man." The bearded man said and Y/n chuckled at his statement, she heard it before, but now he really sounded like her brother.

"Who even are you?" Adam asked as the siblings followed behind the man who was now rummaging through the bathroom drawers.

"That is classified."

"Oh.. why are you here?" Y/n asked in a sort of innocent tone as she stood behind her brother and rested against his shoulder so she wouldn't fall.

"That it also classi.... classified." The man winced as he sprayed peroxide on his wound. "Are you in the air force?" Adam continued to question him as the man started to get annoyed with the boy. "When I say "classified", what does your brain hear? Chocolate?" The man stooped down to Adams level and spoke in his face, Y/n bit her lip and tried not to laugh.

The man walked away from the two, through the house. Y/n found very strange that he seemed to know where everything is.

"What's with the lightsaber?" Y/n sighed again as her brother kept questioning the clearly frustrated man.

"It's not a lightsaber. Jesus Christ, Adam. Be more like your sister would you? You talk too much."

Adam and Y/n looked at each other as the man kept rambling.

How did he know Adam's name?

"Wait, wait, how do you know my name?" Adam pointed an accusing finger at the man and Y/n looked at him wide eyed. The man turned towards them and took a few steps in their direction.

"You're Adam Reed. Born February 10th 2010. Three minutes older than your twin sister Y/n. Your parents are Ellie and Louis Reed. Louis would have died about a year ago. You don't do any sports because of an acute asthmatic condition, and your parents never seemed to get healthy kids because your sister has an anxiety problem that causes her to get lightheaded and to vomit and cry more than the average/normal person. Also, you both are freakishly small for 12 year olds-" The man rambled on and on as Hawking started to bark, Y/n stared at the man wide eyed. How did he know so much about Adam? How the hell did he know so much about her?

"You go to Franklin Middle school, where you've been suspended two, three times for fighting, which is ironic because you can't fight to save your life-" Adam and Y/n looked up at the man, and Hawking was barking furiously.

"HAWKING, ZIP IT!" The three of them yell at the dog at the same time. Y/n quickly turned to the man.

Who the hell is this guy?

"How do you know our dogs name?" Y/n asked softly , her eyes as wide as her brothers.

The man's familiar brown eyes looked at her, "Because I named him.." He grinned as much as he could, although it seemed.. pained.

Adam just stared wide eyed as he fell back, about to pass out. "Where are you goin'?" The man quickly grabbed Adam as he started to wheeze. "Oh. God."

"Hey, Adam, it's okay.." Y/n patted his back, reaching for his inhaler, but before she could, the man grabbed it from his pocket and gave it to him.

"Here, ready? Deep breath." Y/n looked at him in shock as he gave Adam a puff from his inhaler. "I think I need to sit down.." She sat in a chair a few feet away from them. Her leg bounced as the man helped Adam through taking a puff of the inhaler, telling him to hold and when to exhale. Y/n watched intently playing with the sleeves of her F/C sweater.

She waited for her lightheadedness to go away as she watched her brother closely.

"When I was seven, I ran into a table on the patio. I got 12 stitches.."

They both pointed to the same spots on their chins. Y/n looked at them wide eyed, her lightheadedness blurred her vision as she tried to rest, but couldn't as her heart sped up and the thoughts in her mind went faster than ever.

"You knew how to get in our dads garage. You knew how to close the fridge. You knew how to time my breathing. You knew which medicine to give Y/n when she got sick. We have the same scar. And, your wearing my dads watch." The two of them lifted their arms and showed that they both were in fact wearing their dads watch.

As Y/n watched the man, she realized how much he resembled her brother. The same eyes, and humor, and the same snarky attitude. "Adam?" Y/n slurred looking at the bearded man. Both of them looked over at her, when the boy realized who his sister was looking at, he looked up to the man as well.

"Yeah." He smiled at the wide eyed girl as she chuckled under her breath. He missed those wide eyed dearly, and even though he tried to get out of there as soon as possible, he couldn't help but want to stay. He wanted to talk to his sister again. He hasn't seen her in 21 years, shes been gone for 21 fucking years. Even if it was her young 12 year old self, he didn't care, he just wanted to see her again, one last time.

"You're me." Adam said as the two turned back to him. "Holy shi-"

"That's classified. But yes.. I once was."
