I woke up when I felt the jet landing. It was just a small bump but enough to wake me up. Every other time I'd been on a plane it would be a terrible experience, but this one wasn't too bad.
I sat in my seat and looked around for my phone, checking the time. It was 9 pm so I slept 4 or 5 hours, I don't know if that's good or not. Now I may not sleep tonight.
Arthur got up and spoke in another language to the boys on the jet. They got up and left the jet getting in a car with the rest of the men it looked like.
"Ms. Johnson, if you'll follow me," Arthur said taking my bag.
When he had it I got up from my seat and picked up Milo who was still asleep. I don't know how this kid slept so much, it was beyond me.
Milo started to wake up when he heard the jet's engines and covered his ears as he had a few hours ago. I followed Arthur and Ezio to the car, making sure I didn't trip on anything that was on the ground.
Arthur opened the door for me and I buckled in Milo who was now awake. Once he was buckled in, I walked to the other side of the car, and got in the car.
"Your father's place is about twenty minutes away. The rest of the men are almost there so when we get there don't get too overwhelmed by everyone." Arthur explained, driving.
I nodded my head even though I knew he couldn't see it. I just wanted answers, real answers. Not that Milo and I were in danger and we had to move states for our safety. And who the hell were all of these men that had to follow us around? Surely we didn't need that many people. I didn't count when they were sitting down but there had to be at least 8 or 9 including Arthur and Ezio. How were they all going to fit in the house? I don't even know what the house looks like though. Now I'm overthinking.
I took a deep breath to calm my thoughts and looked out the window. There was house after house that all looked the same so there wasn't much to look at.
About twenty minutes later we arrived at the house. Except this house was bigger than the one back at home, it was like 4 stories and had so much land. It looked like too much but with the number of people I've seen so far... I guess it made sense.
"Your bags are already inside Ms.Johnson so there's no need to worry about that. Mr. Johnson ordered for us to lead you to his office so that's where we're going first." Arthur explained.
I got out of the car once he put the car in park and went to Milos's side for what felt like the millionth time today. He was awake so I let him walk since dad didn't like it when I picked him up too much. I just held onto his hand the whole time so he didn't wander off.
I followed Arthur into the house and was surprised when a dog came up to us making Milo scream. He'd never seen a dog that big before so it scared him.
He jumped on my leg and I picked him up keeping my laughter in as I didn't want to hurt his feelings. This dog looked so nice, it was just a bigger dog.
The dog looked like a pitbull just a little bigger than normal ones. He was all grey with one white spot around his eye.
"Aloy!" someone yelled and the dog immediately went to the voice. Milo looked at me with a look and I started laughing, setting him back on the ground.
"He's not gonna hurt you," I whispered, as he tried to get in my arms again.
"Boss is gonna kill you kid," Arthur said, slightly laughing.
"She got out for her kennel, I don't know how!" the girl said pointing to the dog's kennel. Arthur shook his head and nodded his head in his direction, signaling for me to follow him.
