"Sissy?" Milo whispered, slightly shaking me.
I turned over and saw Milo sitting there with tears in his eyes. This made me wake up quickly. "What's wrong Mi?" I asked, picking him up and sitting him on my bed.
"I'm hungry."
I sighed "That's what you're crying about Milo."
He nodded, slightly smiling making me laugh.
"Well, what do you want? I don't know what they have here." I sighed, looking at the time. It was 7:30 in the morning.
"Goldfish," he replied.
"Okay, go get your blanket and come back in here. Be very quiet though okay?"
He nodded his head and quietly walked out of my room. I didn't know who was and wasn't awake but I wasn't risking it waking them up the first day that I was here.
I got up and went to brush my teeth once again. I hated having morning breath or just dirty teeth in general so it was one of the first things that I always did in the morning. I also fixed my hair and just left it down since I didn't feel like messing with it this early. I brushed it real quick and put my hair tie around my wrist.
"Sissy," Milo whispered lightly knocking on the bathroom door. I opened the door and I saw that he had his blanket in his arms.
"Okay let's go. Want to play quiet as a mouse?" I asked trying to make it fun for him.
Milo nodded eagerly and I laughed.
"Okay. 3,2,1 go!" I whispered and I heard Milo hold his breath. I shook my head and led him downstairs to where I thought the kitchen was.
I turned my phone flashlight on and made sure Milo didn't fall down the stairs. That would be awful.
It took us only a minute or so to find the kitchen and I switched on the light. I saw someone sitting on the island and slightly jumped, not expecting anyone to be up.
"Shit," we said at the same time.
"You lost." Milo taunted hearing me cuss.
"Yeah, good job Milo." I laughed.
I picked him up and set him on the counter.
"I'm sorry about my dog earlier.." Scout said, taking a bite of her cereal.
"No it's okay, I thought she was really cute. My brother just hasn't ever seen a dog that big and flipped out." I explained.
"I'm Scout, I work for your father. Aloy is a drug dog."
"I'm Annalise, this is Milo. Weird question, but do you know if y'all have Goldfish here?" I slightly laughed.
"Actually yeah, your dad bought a few things that you both like," she said getting up.
I nodded and watched as she went to the pantry where there was a ton of food. She grabbed a box of goldfish and handed them to me.
"Thank you." I smiled.
"The bowls are up there, along with the cups and plates," she said without me asking.
"Okay, thank you."
I grabbed a bowl and tried to be as quiet as I could pouring the goldfish. Once I was done I handed them to Milo who instantly started to eat them.
"How old are you?" Scout asked out of nowhere.
"Seventeen, why?"
"Just curious. I couldn't pinpoint it but you looked seventeen or eighteen. I'm eighteen."
