It's been about 5 months now, Gilbert still isn't back. I've been pretty sad every single day now.
Well, it was another day. School.
I got up, doing my hair, putting on a dress, it was light blue, brushing my hair, and stuff like that.
Over the time, I've gotten along and pretty close with Cole, he's a really good friend.
I went down and did the usual, eating breakfast. Mother has been noticing that I've been down lately.
Mother actually taught me how to cook, so whenever she isn't here and I'm hungry, I can cook for myself.
I made my own food, I sat down and ate. I made my favorite. It was so good-
I finished and got my coat, my bag, and my books. I put my books in my bag and walked off.
I could see the school from a minute away, I heard cheering? Or more like screams that were happy.
Once I got there I opened the door, to see my best friend!!! No way!!
My eyes widened, I smiled, I remembered what happened.
Him and Winifred. And the county fair.. I don't care about that. All I wanted was to see my best friend again.
I set my things down quickly, he had his back turned.
I speed walked over there and hugged him. Sobbing quietly. People couldn't hear.
He hugged back, laying his head on my head. I had my head on his shoulder.
"I missed you, Gilbert." I looked up at him, with tears in my eyes.
He looked down at me, smiling softly. "I missed you more, love."
I looked to my side to see a sad Ruby.. well, because of me and Gilbert. and a.. guilty Josie? Weird..
~
I focused on class more now since he's here, I noticed Gilbert was looking at me every second. Well, every minute.
I eventually caught him and he smiled, looking at me up and down, not in a mean way though.
I beamed at him, I looked away with a smile and continued doing my work-
I saw Cole and Diana smirk at me, technically shipping me and Gilbert..
I shook my head, smiling.
~
After class, I was walking home. Gilbert hugged me unexpectedly. Making me flinch because I didn't expect him to come.
I laughed, "Hey, Gilbert. Wanna hangout?" I asked.
He nodded, "I don't see why not," he chuckled.
"Alright, you wanna have a game night and bake cookies?" I suggested.
"Ooh, sounds like fun! I'm in!" I heard a voice say, Diana, Anne, and Cole.
Me and Gilbert laughed, "Alright, then." We all smiled.
~
We all decided to have the game night and baking cookies at Anne's house.
Her guardians were out somewhere so why not at Anne's house.
We all came, and the sky was getting dark already.
All of us sat down in Anne's room, she just moved her bed to the side to make her room spacious.
Gilbert sat next to me, Diana and Cole on the other side. We created a small circle.
Anne got some things, while she was getting the stuff, "Y/N, can you please get the games? Thank you!" Anne smiled.
I of course said yes and got the games, "Just set them on my bed." Anne added.
While I got the games, I heard Diana say something.. "You should've seen how sad Y/N was while you were gone. And look at her now, she's as happy as ever since you're here!"
"Yeah!" Cole nodded in agreement. I turned back, "Cole! Diana!" I whisper-shouted.
Gilbert had a slight blush on his face, Cole and Diana giggled.
I got the games and sat them down on Anne's bed like she said.
Anne got some blankets, and some pillows.
She gave us each one. Anne got one of the games, she got checkers.
She sat it down in the middle of all of us, we all began playing as I looked at everyone, "I'm gonna win!" Anne exclaimed, grinning.
and Anne ended up winning.
"Aw, man." We all said, except Anne, who was cheering.
~
We all went downstairs to bake cookies, it was night time and Anne's guardians have already gotten home and slept.
Me and Gilbert were getting the stuff we need to bake, while Anne was eating a bag of chocolate chips.
"Anne!" Cole and Diana looked at her, she quickly put the bag on the counter and put her hands up in defense.
I giggled, Gilbert and the rest giggling with me. We got the stuff we need and began making it.
I cut the butter, while Gilbert was getting the chocolate chips and putting them in a bowl.
Anne and Cole getting a tray and setting it down, Diana eating some chocolate chips.
I put the rest of the stuff in the bowl, I got a mixer and mixed it.
I didn't realize Gilbert was watching me and admiring me until Anne brought it up.
"Ooh, Gilbert, why are you looking at Y/N?" She smirked.
Gilbert quickly looked away as I looked at him, "Uh- I.. um." He went back to work as Cole and the girls laughed.
I grinned and blushed, then went back to work, putting some baking paper on the tray then lots of balls of cookie dough.
I put it in the oven for 11 minutes at 350F.
"Wow, Y/N. You really know how to cook." Gilbert chuckled.
I turned my head to him, "Actually, mother taught me how to bake not too long ago." I smiled.
He laughed, "Ah."
~
The cookies were done and I took it out, we each got one and took a bite.
"Mmm." Anne seemed to really like the cookies, so did Cole, Diana, and Gilbert.
We all finished the tray of cookies, it was getting really late so we decided to all go home.
"See you at school!" We all said before walking out of Anne's house, "Also, it was really fun tonight." I chuckled.
They all smiled and we went home.
I got home and went to my room, I'm guessing mother was already asleep since I couldn't see her in the living room.
I went into my room, taking my shoes off and laying down in bed. And I closed my eyes before knocking out.
