The Party - Chapter 3

Me and Gilbert got even closer to the point where he's always going to my house-

"Yo, Gilbert." I said, trying to hold in my laugh. He looked at me, "Catch-" I threw a piece of food in his mouth.

We both laughed as we were sitting on the couch, opposite sides.

"Ooo- I forgot to tell you, I'm having a party, and you're definitely going." He smiled sarcastically.

I rolled my eyes, "Fine." I laughed.

"Alright, I gotta get going now, bye, see you." He said before walking away. "And the party's at 6, where the tree where we had our picnic." He added.

I nodded and he walked out, I checked the time and it was 4:55. I'll just eat then get ready.

My mom made me some food, I began eating and I finally finished.

It was 4:05.

I went up to my room, finding a cute dress, it was baby pink.

I put on just a small amount of makeup, mascara, foundation, and lip gloss.

I went to my mom, "Hello, mother, may I go to Gilbert's party? Please!!" I begged.

"Mmm.. okay, sure. Gilbert's your best friend so yes." She replied.

I grinned, "Thank you, mother!"

I walked on, I saw a path and finally made it.

I went to the tree, and I saw Anne, Diana, Tillie, and Jade.

I waved at them- "Hey, guys!" I smiled, "Hello!" They all said.

They were dressed really nice.

"Where's Gilbert?" I asked,

"Oh- he's with Ruby. Over there." Anne smiled.

I nodded and looked their way, before I can walk over to them, oh..

Ruby's lips connected with Gilbert's. Wow.

"Ruby?! What the heck!!" I heard Gilbert say, "I don't like you, I like someone else!!" Gilbert added.

I watched them then Ruby began crying, she ran away. Oh shoot.

Diana and Anne went after her. I turned around to see a worried Gilbert, "Oh, hey, Y/N." He smiled.

"What was that?.." I turned to where Ruby ran away and then at Gilbert.

"Ruby. She likes me, but.. I don't.. I like someone else." Gilbert stepped closer to me, looking into my eyes..

Oh, shoot. Is this happening..

Before he could say something else I heard footsteps coming towards me, it was Josie..

And before I even knew it, she smacked me right across my face.

I looked at her, my eyes widened..

"You! It's you! You're the reason why Gilbert doesn't like Ruby!" Josie said, I-.. excuse me?

"Huh-" she pushed me, making me fall, "Y/N!" Gilbert helped me get up.

"N-No? Gilbert doesn't like me?!" I said to Josie who was absolutely angry.

I then turned to Gilbert, "Right?!"

"I-I.." Gilbert stammered-

"I hate you, Y/N." Josie walked away.

I am flabbergasted.

"Gilbert, do you?-" I asked but he interrupted me, "No, I don't Y-Y/N." He chuckled nervously.

"Okay.." I turned back. I saw a shocked Tillie and Jade.

"Let's just forget that.. you okay, love?" Gilbert asked, handing me an ice pack.

"Eh.. it kinda hurts." I held my cheek.

"That Josie Pye.. I never liked her. So, I didn't invite her, also, because you don't like her either." Gilbert chuckled.

I laughed, "I should go though.. should I check up on Ruby?" I asked.

"Uh.. I don't think checking up on Ruby is a good idea.." He said, I looked at him.

"Why?"

"Well.. uh.. she thinks that I like you.. w-which I don't of course, haha!" He laughed nervously.

"Oh.. okay." I smiled at him softly.

"Im gonna go then, see you," I smiled, he waved goodbye.

I began walking home until I heard footsteps.. I turned around, that Josie.. "Josie.. please!" I stepped back.

She grabbed my hair, causing me to yelp, I pulled her hair as hard as I could, she screamed and I ran away.

I got home, breathing heavily.. I locked my doors and went up to my room.. oh, god.
