Hetty and Granger were on a 5 day trip to Texas, when a tornado alert suddenly showed up and they had to take shelter in a bomb shelter.
'Should be a couple of hours before it really starts to hit.' Granger said.
'Yeah.' Hetty nervously replied.
'Hey, we'll be fine down here. Do you trust me? (gently rubbing her cheek)'.
Hetty gave him a warm smile and said 'Of course'.
A couple of hours later, the tornado hit, and it was really loud.
'I can't hear any thing!' Hetty cried out.
Granger grabbed her and held her really close.
'Shhh shhh. It'll be okay.' He said, trying to soothe her.
'How can I sleep feeling like everything's collapsing above?!'
'Because you've got me! And I won't let you die tonight!'
True to his word, the next morning. They both woke up, still in each other's arms.
'Hetty? You awake?' He sleepily asked.
'Yeah. It's, weirdly quiet. Almost feels like I went deaf, even though I can still hear.' She replied.
'The silence is bizarre to me as well.'
Then Hetty suddenly gave him a huge kiss.
'Whoa... (chuckle). You feel like doing this now?' He asked, stunned.
'I got scared last night, and I really needed a friend. And you were what I really needed. Thank you so much! And, (looking down), as much as I would really love to keep kissing you until we're both sweating (chuckle), I need to pee and we probably need to go above ground to see what's wrong.' Hetty replied.
Looking slightly disappointed. 'Yeah, yeah you're right. Though, (smiling), it was nice to get to hold you all night. Even if it was just to keep you calm during a tornado.' Granger replied.
'I enjoyed it too. Even though I was scared. And (leaning in), we can always make it up to each other when we get home.'
'Mmm. I love the sound of that.'
