Nell was staying at Hetty's 1 night, mainly just to hang out.
Hetty was feeling restless and had gotten up to get a drink of water when she passed by the room Nell was staying in and heard noises.
'Please don't do this, please! She's done nothing wrong!'
Hetty's first instincts were to walk in and see what was the matter, but then the noises stopped.
She shrugged, then went to get her water.
The next morning
Hetty noticed Nell looked a bit shaky when she came down for breakfast.
'Everything okay?' She asked.
'I don't know!' Nell shakily replied.
'Well, do you want to talk about it? That sometimes helps.'
(crying). 'I had a terrible dream! I was in Vietnam with you in that cage, then you were being taken away and I pleaded for them to take me instead, but they wouldn't. And then you weren't brought back and I was so afraid that they killed you! Then you were brought back and you were so badly beaten up!'
Saddened by her terrible dream, Hetty gently rubbed her shoulder and soothingly said: 'Shh shh shh. It was just a bad dream. We're both okay, we're both okay.'
Later on, after drying her face. Nell went to the living room and sat down on the couch next to Hetty.
'Are you doing okay?' Hetty asked.
'I guess so. Are you? I know it's only been a month since we found you and you're probably still trying to emotionally recover. 'Nell nervously replied.
'I'm okay. May I tell you something in confidence?'
'Of course.'
(deep sigh). 'I keep telling myself that what I went through was just a nightmare, but each day when I get dressed and I feel parts of myself that were injured, I know it happened. And while I knew you and the team would eventually find me, at some point, I got worried that you would be too late. And I know that it was mainly my fault because of how secretive I am, and I feel so awful most days!'
'Ohhh Hetty...' (Gently rubbing her shoulder). 'We know that you have your secretive ways of doing things, because you don't want anyone getting hurt, and that's okay. And we never stopped looking for you! And we never would've because we all love you! And you were in no way responsible for what happened to you.' Nell lovingly replied.
Suddenly overcome by emotions, Hetty then leaned over and hugged her.
'Thank you, thank you so much!' She softly said.
'You're very welcome.'
