'I don't like the sound of this.' Eric said, worried.

'How bad is it, Mr. Beale?' Hetty asked.

'I heard a lot of noises over the comms, then silence!'

'Well, maybe his comms were broken.'

'Wouldn't he have contacted us by now though?' Eric asked.

'Just give him time! Okay?' Hetty replied, trying to stay calm.

But sadly, Callen and Sam later confirmed what she was afraid of admitting: Her husband had been taken by the suspects that her team had been tracking for the past 4 days!

The rest of the day dragged out very slowly. The team rushed to find Granger, and the OPS geeks had the painful task of trying to keep Hetty calm. Which wasn't that easy!

'Never took you for a day drinker.' Nell pointed out when she saw Hetty drinking Scotch.

'Ran out of tea.' Hetty replied.

Nell didn't believe her because her supply was more or less endless, but she didn't want to pry.

'Everyone is doing everything they can to find Granger.' Nell said, trying to ease the tension.

'I know. I know.' Hetty unhappily replied.

'If there's anything I can do...'

'What I need is to know that he's still alive, nothing more!' Hetty responded, trying her hardest not to snap.

Seeing that any more questions would probably just irritate her more, Nell went back up to OPS.

When the suspects were eventually caught, Granger wasn't with them.

'From the way some of these thugs look, it looks like he escaped.' Callen said. 'Which means he could be anywhere by now.'

'Thank you Mr. Callen.' Hetty replied, sounding hopeful.

As the day winded down, Hetty kept a close eye on her home security cameras on her laptop, hoping that Granger would turn up at 1 of them.

Then she heard shuffling going on the wall, she went to see what it was, and guess who she saw:

'You made it!'

'I figured you'd still be here.' Granger wearily replied.

Hetty led him to the couch next to the bullpen and looked at his bandages.

'My arm hurts, my leg hurts, and I just want to sleep this all off.' Granger said, tired.

'I can see. I'll go get some stuff from the kitchen.' Hetty replied.

A few minutes later

'We've, both had a rough day. But we're both still alive, and that's what matters.' Hetty said, trying to make him feel better.

'Yeah. Yeah.' Granger mumbled.

'Ohhhhh.' Giving him a hug. 'I've been hurting all day as well, but I am so grateful that you're here right now!'

As much as his tough guy persona didn't want to admit it, he was grateful to have such a caring wife as well.
