I gripped the hand of whoever was sitting next to me and finally opened my eyes to see Remus, sleeping in a chair next to my bed. Wait. I sprung up, gulping back a cry of excruciating pain. White was everywhere. The hospital wing. This seems to be turning into a recurring theme, here.

Lupin stirred next to me, slightly and I then took note of him more. His shirt was ripped in the sleeves and he seemed very thin, his hair stuck to his forehead with sweat. But why is someone I hate the most visiting me? He hazily blinked until his vision cleared and he spotted me. A wild, look of terror flooded his eyes and I nearly leaped backward in surprise.

"Davi." He spoke reluctantly, his voice shaded.

"Lupin." I rose my eyebrows at him in a bored expression. Eventually, my curiosity got the better of me again. Damn.

"What happened?" A look of fear registered in his face, only for a second, but still long enough for me to see it and I sensed his discomfort. I tilted my chin downward, signalling him to speak. Silence answered me. My left eye twitched in frustration and I spoke up once more. "Go on, then."

Finally, after two more minutes of silence on his part, I spoke again, only more harshly this time. "Sometime today, Lupin." Still nothing. "God, dang it! Answer me, now." My voice rising.

He opened his mouth to speak, intently staring into my eyes as he did so, searching for something as he spoke quietly and just as shaded as before. "Wild animal, presumably." But I heard the edge in his voice, and that's all I needed.

"What are you?" I hissed, inaudibly. His expression tightened into a glare, but no one seeing him could mistake the hurt in his eyes, sparkling with tears, for anything else. A loud knocking at the door alerted both of us, pushing us from our thoughts. Lupin sprung from his chair and in a few quick strides, he was across the room and out the door. Gem and Ara, my twin, strode into the room. False sadness was evidently painted on Ara's face. Surprised you never heard me mention her? Well, she's the perfect one. The girl everyone wants to be. We're not identical if it's not yet obvious, and we are certainly not close.

Her brown hair was pulled into a side braid and her brown eyes shone with joy at the sight of me. Her nearly freckle less face, lighting up. She had been Sirius' girlfriend last week and insisted to anyone who asked, that they were only on a temporary break.

Gemini quickly made it to my side and abruptly checked my injuries, Ara eyeing her. After a few moments, a smile broke out onto her expression. "You're okay." She smugly said.

"What?" I rose my eyebrows in confusion. "From what?" Gem deeply sighed before answering.

"A werewolf attacked you."
