. "A what?" Bruce questions. Alfred sighs, shaking his head at the Dark Knight.

"Feelings, Master Bruce," He smiles wider. It's not that he never expected Bruce to fall in love, but that he has been waiting patiently for plenty of years, waiting for him to fall in love. He understands some might not be able to or find it hard to do so, but Alfred would hate to watch Bruce be as lonely as he was. Having a child to raise is fun and may be able to make you whole, but sometimes it doesn't.

It had for Alfred however, raising Bruce was something he enjoyed and he loved the silence during the period Batman had gone on hiatus. He never had strived for children of his own, despite having a daughter and wife. It wasn't something he needed. Though, watching Bruce grow from a baby to a young man, he always hoped he would be different, find love and be happier than he ever was.

Alfred clears his throat, "I thought you were like me, but I see someone caught your eye. Well, it depends of course. Does this symptoms appear whenever you're around a specific person?" Batman thinks for a moment, silent as usual.

"It happens whenever I'm out..." Bruce sighs, narrowing his eyes as he tries to think about this, Do I feel this around a specific person? He hums softly. "I used to get like this around Babs, calmed down after a bit and now I'm feeling this around-... someone." He says slowly, trying to be vague on the whole topic. He knew he had feelings for Barbara, it hadn't lasted long and he never came to terms with his emotions, let alone told her how he felt at the time. The feelings, the thoughts he had during that short period of time, almost the same thoughts he has currently with a certain clown, but more frequently, more important to him emotionally.

Alfred sighs, smiling softly. "Thank you for sharing, Bruce. I'm sure you it's not high blood pressure. It's definitely a crush, feelings for someone." He assures Bruce, though it only confuses him more, But why do I feel this for him all of the sudden? He asks himself, watching Alfred silently. "I do feel you should confront whoever this is, it will make you feel better and, who knows, perhaps blossom a relationship. You are deserving on love, Master Bruce. Remember that." Alfred hands him the plate of French toast and pats his shoulder, walking to the doorway of the second, more smaller kitchen, "Richard's teacher is still here, I advise you to dress suitably." He gives him a nod before disappearing behind the door, Bruce sighs.

'Crush'. Like Batman would ever have a crush on someone... again... He huffs, turning away as his eyes start to water again. Frowning, he rubs his eyes gently, an angry pout forms on his lips. Why am I getting so emotional?!

"Gah!" Bruce exclaims before rushing to his bedroom, slamming the doors shut. He rips his mask off and throws it across the room along with his lunch, he heaves, anger in his eyes as the building tears begin to stream. I was fine! What's wrong with me?! He runs to his made-up bed, throwing himself onto the soft duvet. Shoving his face under a thick, silk pillow, he tries to muffle his enraged cries, he grows more man with every tear that slides down his cheek.

A short series of knocks against the door brings him away from his current state, however, he doesn't move from his position. He tries to lower his voice, attempting to be as quiet as he would have been if not crying. He does not usually express emotion, but when he does, he tries to isolate himself from everyone and tries to get rid of his feelings before rejoining his group. He curns into a ball, his cape covering his form.

After a few minutes, the door slowly opens and closes, two sets of footsteps walk up to the bed, one being lighter than the other. Bruce curls tighter in response, taking deep breaths in attempt to calm himself. "Bruce... are you alright?" Alfred asks in a gentle tone, Richard sitting next to Batman quietly.
