. At the top of a skyscraper, Bruce couches apon the ledge, the air cold and wind blowing against his black cape slowly. The sound of traffic echoes throughout the empty streets of Gotham, the sound of soft conversion and honking cars subtle, but still is there. Batman watches over the city below him, patiently waiting for a certain Clown Prince to show himself.

Though the surrounding area creates noises, the silence still found its way to sting him, the lack of colorful explosions and loud laughter. I wish he were here to fight me, He thinks, a sigh escaping his lungs - he plans on showing himself to the amusement park, he has to. He loves the excitement, he lives to fight the Joker, his enemy. He never thought of it as just fighting, just teases, it was their battles.

The little moments where Batman got knocked off of his feet and he ran back for more, the laughter running through his ears as he took the Joker down - he always had loved it, the eagerness, passion they felt with their weapons clanking together with every strike. When they were face to face with guns pointing at one another, their racing hearts and slight smirks. That was what he called amour, intimacy. He had just never realized this. He had always rejected the idea of this, the idea of settling with a villain, a main bad guy to fight, this scared him.

He doesn't want to get too attached to someone, especially someone who he could easily lose. The joy he felt handcuffing the Joker after besting him in a battle, he always had shoved his feelings aside, believing it was invalid, in any situation. But after letting Richard and Barbara into his life, he slowly came out of his shell, understanding that he may love. Though the thought of feeling the same attachment he feels towards Richard, for a criminal... He has no idea how to feel for this. Or at least not yet.

The sight of the Bat-Signal sparks Bruce's interest, Could it be?.. A grin spreads across his face, adrenaline kicking in as he jumps off the edge of the building. Within a minute, he makes it to where the light is emitting from, "What is it?" Batman asks Barbara, leaning against the doorframe. "Joker at it again?"

"Well, no, it's actually some other person," Barbara explains, calmly, "Just a regular bank robbery." Bruce stares at her for a moment, confusion in his eyes, yet he holds a straight face.

"What?" He asks, watching her roll her eyes.

"Just go! The city needs you, Bruce!" He huffs, rolling his eyes as well.

"Can't you guys deal with this? I'd like to be called for more important things - like the Joker blowing up a building, or the Joker robbing a back," Batman starts, turning away from Barbara as he folds his arms over his chest.

"There's literally a person robbing a back right now."

"Yeah, but is it someone as dangerous as, I don't know, the-?"

"Joker." She frowns at him, Bruce falling silent for a moment as he stares at her, eyes wider than usual.

"I wasn't going to say that." He defends, dropping his expression whilst staring at the ground.

"You've been going on about how you want to fight the Joker."

"No, I haven't." Bruce says quickly before running out, "I'm going to beat up this robber. B-R-B." He glides through the city using his grappling hook to get around, dropping his body onto a convertible speeding away from a group of cop cars. He lands on a seat, facing the front for a moment, before knocking the driver out of the seat and swerving the car to crash into the water hydrant. He kicks the companion out as well, walking away from the scene as the cop cars park behind the wreck.
