. Bruce stays in his curled up position, anxiety and shame flowing throughout his veins, as he waits patiently for the Joker to say something, -anything-. But he stays silent. He hears the clown's footsteps near him, the sensation of his two arms wrapping around his figure and bringing him into a gentle hug bring warmth to his chest. He glances over his shoulder to see Jack's face nestling on his shoulder blade, a smile on his bright red lips. "I'm not going anywhere," He tells him in an assuring manner, "And it's cute you think I'm your greatest nemesis." Batman rests his arms around Jack's and he leans over to lay a peck on his forehead.
"I don't think, I know." Batman chuckles softly, Jack loosening his grip when Bruce turns around, and regaining the tight hug once they're face to face. "You're okay with this?"
"Okay? I'm ecstatic!" The Joker wraps his arms around Bruce's neck, grinning from ear to ear. "This makes so much more sense than what I'd thought! That's why you didn't show!"
"Yes, I've said so." Bruce smiles softly and rests his hands on Jack's waist.
"I thought you just gave up on us the moment we actually, kinda, became something." Jack pouts slightly, Bruce moving a hand to brush against his cheek.
"I would never do that again, Jay." He gives him an assuring expression and envelopes him in his warm embrace, "Thanks for staying though, I mean, accepting this."
"Bats, it's not that big of a deal!" Joker kisses his cheek, leaving a crimson smudge on his skin. "I think it's pretty cool that you're you. I mean, I'm sorry for tranquilizing you and trying to beat you up, but we can move on from that, right?"
Bruce sighs softly, nodding in agreement. "Right." He grins brightly, eyes glancing down at Jack's soft, red lips, the clown puckering them up slightly as he leans forward. The two move closer toward one another, lips colliding with grace, and their hands moving along their figures as they try pulling themselves closer to one another; the scent of their colognes filling their senses.
"Dads?" Within a second, Bruce pulls away and pushes Jack off of himself, eyes falling onto Dick's small body standing by the elevator, teddy bear in hand and in his Wonder Woman pajamas, and Alfred's head peering out of the open doors. A deep blush draws across Batman's features, eyes darting between his adoptive son and foe. He stammers under his breath as he tries gathering his words, trying to explain to his son what he'd just seen. There's nothing I can say that'd distract them from this! He laughs nervously, Richard gasping softly when seeing the Joker's red lipstick smudged on his father's mouth. A smile forms, and he runs towards them with Alfred leaving the elevator slowly. "Wait, wait!" He grins widely, looking between the door. "You- and- and him?" He asks, pointing at each of them.
Jack chuckles gently, nodding before Bruce could respond. "You should have told me he was coming," Alfred smiles gently, "I would have prepared two lobsters instead of one." He teases, hands behind his back. Richard turns to the butler once he takes his place beside him, laughing excitedly.
"You know?!"
"Yeah," Bruce rubs the back of his neck, looking away from the boys. "I talked about him to Alfred, he gave me some advice, and, well..."
"Awe, Batsy, that's adorable!" Jack clasps his hands and brings them to his cheek, before he pecks the man's cheek, a bright, crimson smudge left on his skin. "And, uh, Alfred I assume?" He turns to the butler, who nods assuredly, "Yeah, Alfred. No need to get me anything to eat, I already ate at Arkham!"
