A very long time ago, four great gods descended from the heavens in order to bring life to a vast world.

These gods had the following names: Dystonia, Cyonis, Aeolus, and Estevan.

For a while, they all equally governed the world of Divinia. Until one day, Estevan, the God of Foresight, had a vision of the future while he was asleep.

In this vision, he saw himself fighting against Cyonis, and his lover at the time, Aeolus. With flames, destruction, and madness present everywhere, Estevan woke up in a cold sweat.

Full of paranoia and anger of this betrayal in his premonition, Estevan started scheming against the other gods in secret for the faithful day where he would be against them.

In the Great Battle of the Gods, the one who started it emerged victorious: Estevan, the God of power, foresight, disguises, and tradition. It's rumored that Estevan won because he knew of a secret art that could sap power from the other gods, then distributed that power to himself.

Estevan grew the strongest and remained the most unscathed. He firmly believed that those with strength deserved to rule, so after the war, he split the world into four vast lands.

As he was victorious, he gave himself the biggest chunk of land, naming it Ceir. In the present, Ceir is the most powerful nation military and magic wise.

In Ceir, the law is in favor of those who are strong. They are also known for making and selling weapons to other lands. It is said that the materials that make these weapons are so sturdy, making it so they'll never break.

Estevan then gave Destonia, the second strongest god, the second largest land, Skya. Destonia was a very close friend of Estevan, and only fought against him near the end of the war to reclaim peace one again. Thus, he favored her more than the others.

Destonia was the beautiful Goddess of peace, healing, archery, and judgment. Skya later would become famous for their medicines and doctors that could cure practically any disease or illness. The tranquilness in their lands is also said to ward anger and other negative emotions away to prevent any fights.

There were rumors that the first descendants of Destonia had the power to float and glide, before eventually stepping on the ground for the rest of time.

Next, he gave Cyonis, Deity of stealth, illusions, volcanoes, and flames, Vetros. This nation is later known for their extremely made jewelry mined by the most skilled workers, they are easily the richest nation, even outmatching Ceir, as their mind-boggling prices catch the attention of wealthy buyers anyways.

It is said their jewelry is made from the hottest and deepest of volcanoes, and once every 10,000 years, the biggest volcano of all rises to the surface and spills out both lava and priceless jewels.

Finally he gave Aeolus, the weakest God of all and his former love, Trinae. Estevan and Aeolus were on very tense terms, and Estevan still held a very strong grudge, no matter what his ex-lover said.

Aeolus was the God of wind, music, wisdom, and supposed luck, which is ironic as he got the smallest land and was the most injured in the war, since Estevan targeted him the most.

Trinae is known for their music, street performances, and amazing libraries. Every year, they hold a jaw-dropping gorgeous festival that almost makes people forget that this is the weakest nation of all.

Trinae sells instruments known for their hauntingly beautiful sounds. Aeolus never cared about being worshiped, so Trinae is heavily lenient on religion, therefore there aren't many churches.

Despite being the weakest, the people in Trinae are one of the happiest in Divinia, unlike those in Ceir who are ruled under a tyrant.

Though after a very long reign, all deities decided it was time for all of them to go into eternal sleep.

By now, relations with all of the gods had mended over the course of thousands of years, except ones between Estevan and Aeolus. The greater the love bore greater the betrayal in Estevan's eyes.

But the deities had reigned over the world for long enough.

Right before going into eternal sleep, Estevan foresaw a very distant future where Ceir would eventually fall after hundreds of years of ruthless reign. This made him finally open his eyes, aware of the suffering he put on the people thus far.

He desperately wanted to prevent the fall of Ceir, as he loved it like it was his own child. Though he knew there was no way he could make amends now.

But, he wanted the best for them anyways. So when all the gods chose a descendant to pass on their nations to, Estevan chose a kind-hearted man who only believed in justice and the well being of the people.

This man was named Perseus. But unbeknownst to Estevan, right before all the gods went to sleep, a curse had been put onto Perseus. He would have recurring nightmares of his nation falling and being executed by the citizens he loved.

This curse would then pass on to anyone who ruled Ceir. And thus, Estevan's last resort to prevent his beloved nation from falling had failed. Perseus went insane from these nightmares and instead of ending Estevan's reign, he continued it.

In the present, Divina is all at peace with one another, or that's what it appears like. The ruler of Ceir is now a powerful being called Vine, a man who is not beloved by his people but rather feared.

He only wants Ceir to stand as the most powerful nation for the rest of time, and will do anything to get rid of those who get in his way. But unbeknownst to him, Trinae and Vetros have secretly signed an alliance. These two nations have seen Vine's tyranny and are waiting for the day where they can finally end thousands of years of suffering in Ceir.

However, underestimating Ceir's military is lethal. Which means they need the help of the second strongest nation, Skya, before they can launch a full-scale war.

Skya's policy is that they'll always be neutral - no matter what. They've seen and remembered the effects of war and wish to prevent it. So unless someone attacks them first, they won't attack back.

This is a....bit of a problem for the leaders of Trinae and Vetros.

But luckily for them, the courageous hero, Forrest, who resides in Skya, is also determined to have their nation join the alliance!

And alongside him is [Name], his childhood friend! But also someone who got reincarnated into a noble family after getting stabbed in their past life. They've joined hands with Forrest and his crew to reap the benefits- I mean take down a tyrant!

[Name] wants to be on the side of the winners once the rebellion finally comes, but how are they sure that Vine will definitely be executed and Ceir will fall? Their heads could roll if they all fail!

Well don't worry! 'Cause after all, Divinia is the name of a fantasy novel series that [Name] read in their past life. So little does Forrest know that their companion is actually out-of-this-world, knows the future, and that he's the MC!

Also in the actual Legends of Divinia, the curse placed on Perseus is never recorded. Therefore, everyone thinks that Estevan was a ruthless tyrant to the end and chose another tyrant to rule on purpose.

But [Name] knows this, of course. So they're going to be one, if not, the most powerful ally Forrest will have.

Now, all they have to do is convince Skya, who has been neutral in war affairs for thousands of years, to go behind Ceir's back and form an alliance with Vetros and Trinae.

And in the process, [Name] has to become strong, survive (they don't have plot armor sadly), and not bring suspicion on themselves!

How hard could it be! After all, the series only had...10 books.

And little did [Name] know, the path in the books wouldn't be the same one laid out for them. For destiny is not as set in stone as one may think.

But jeez, leave it up to the gods to start a war without talking it out first.
