"You have to take Myles and I with you on your journey five years from now."

Forrest was conflicted at the moment.

Like, really, conflicted.

He thought he knew [Name] so well, but the moment the two of them left, Forrest sat there in the grass for over an hour.

The jade-eyed boy must've heard them wrong. . .right? Surely that was it...

"Young Master?! What- what on Divinia are you talking about?!"

Myles' sharp words brought him back to reality.

This was reality.

[Name] just requested for him to take them and Myles with him on his suicidal journey to kill King Vine.

Were they insane?

"No..." Forrest let out a soft sigh. "I think I'm the one who's insane. I shouldn't have told them about my dream. . . I should've just left five years from now without saying anything."

The wind parted his hair to the side, nipping softly at his cheeks. Its cold kisses were the only thing keeping him from falling asleep right there, exhausted from thinking for so long.

It was funny, really. He didn't mind risking or sacrificing himself to end Vine's reign, yet the thought of exposing [Name] and Myles to those same dangers was heart-wrenching.

Still...imagining [Name] and Myles supporting him at every twist or turn filled him with joy. He tried to suppress this happiness though, he didn't want to be selfish. It was his and his goal only to behead Vine as revenge for his mother. [Name] and Myles never even saw him in person, they didn't even have a motive for hating nonetheless killing him.

Forrest didn't want to darken their hearts, that's how much he loved them.

"Forrest-!" A familiar deep but gentle voice called out. "Dinner's ready-! I didn't see you training so I checked all over the premises and-" Alastor paused when he saw the look on his nephew's face:

Forrest seemed like a helpless child, one lost and awestruck at the world.

He paused, before softly speaking again.

"...Is something wrong, my boy?"

Forrest replaced his look of awe with a forced smile.

"O-of course not Uncle! I was just talking to [Name] and Myles just now. They went home for dinner though. . ." He slowly prompted himself up despite his legs wavering. "So. . .we should also go eat! Haha..."

"..." Alastor wasn't sure what was going on, but one thing was for certain; Forrest had a problem on his mind. One that was hard to communicate at the moment. And so, he decided. He wouldn't force Forrest to tell him immediately. Instead he'd wait for his nephew to be ready.

It was the same strategy he used to have Forrest open up to him shortly after his mom's passing.

"Mmhm, let's go Forrest." Alastor swung an arm around the jade-eyed male and pulled him close as they walked back to the cabin.

After successfully sneaking out on their own for the first time, [Name] was walking through the streets of Skya with a complicated expression. They hadn't talked to Myles since last night, and the two of them ended off on an awkward note. There was no way they could invite him to go with them today.
