Chapter 8: Fresh Start

I grabbed my purse as quickly as I could and rushed to my Lexus. The traffic was fairly good today which was a plus because who'd want to be late for a date?! My hands gripped the steering wheel tight as I thought about how long its been since I've been on an actual date. It's been a year since the whole, "Incident". I guess you could say I'm doing well... I'm currently still living in California, own my own house, and have my own car. After thinking about it, Kian and I both agreed to see other people. That had made me feel both good and bad. The good about not being with him is that I could just start over and fulfill the rest of my dreams. The bad is just the fact that we went through so much together and now we are literally done...for good(so I thought).

Today is different though! It is all about my future from this point on. I'm going to meet up with the best thing in my life right now. Danny is tall, built, sweet, and super handsome. He is a doctor by day and plays hockey at night. Isn't that the cutest? Anyways, I finally decided to go on an official date with him and here we are today. We had met from a friend-of-a-friend kind of thing. After meeting we hung out a lot, he showed me fun. I need some fun.

I walked into my favorite Italian restraunt and found him sitting in a booth towards the back of the restraunt, "Hey!" I said excitedly as I sat down across from him. He shot one of his adorable smiles at me, "Hey cutie."

We caught up with one another and then ordered our food. It was really nice.

Afterwards he walked with me to my car, "I had fun tonight" he said as we reached my car. I nodded in agreement, "Me too, maybe you'd wanna do it again sometime?"
