Part 4

--LATER IN THE DAY--

That evening you were full of excitement. I'm finally gonna do something with my life! YAY! You said goodnight to your newfound friends. As soon as they left it was just you and Lillie. 'So you excited for tomorrow? I mean it is gonna be your first day of training.' She said yawning. You climbed into bed and said 'I mean yeah. Who wouldn't be?' You have had a big change in heart on this whole army thing. Now you could do something useful with your life. Give yourself some purpose. You lay down and sigh. 'How long have you been working here?' You said. She paused for a second. ' A few years. It's not as bad as people think. You get free food, clothes, and shelter. Plus no one ever seems to go out on any practical missions. It's quite chill.' She said, her voice laced with drowsiness. It's not that bad. 

Soon the room was quiet. You weren't used to such a tranquil night. Usually, there would be gunshots, sirens, and yelling in the night. This felt nicer. You felt your mind drift in and out of consciousness. You fell asleep. You had a dream that you were stuck in mid-air. You couldn't move at all. You wanted to scream but no noise came out. Suddenly you started falling you were screaming and yelling. You landed in murky water. You tried to swim up but you couldn't. You couldn't breathe you felt yourself get lightheaded. Your head was shaking and you woke up to see Tom shaking you awake. You felt cold sweat drip down from your chin. He looked scared. behind him was Lillie, her hands over her mouth. ' W-What happened?' You said in a shaky voice. 'You were screaming in your sleep and you looked pale as a ghost, and you looked like you had been possessed.' She said hugging you.

Tom looked at you, pale and scared. 'Y-you... No... H-how-' He said stuttering on every word. He pulled you up and took you by the arm. 'We're going to the RL office...'  He said in a serious voice. You looked confused but didn't question it. You followed him. As soon as he reached Rl's office he walked in. RL looked around confused for a second before realizing it was Tom. 'What on earth do you think you're doing so late?!' He said angrily. He looked tired and you could see his bloodshot eyes in the dim light. 'She has a demophibian.' He said urgently. RL looked shocked. ' That's impossible. You are the only one to have it. And she needs to be... wait...' He looked up seriously concerned. 'She's been demilopitile.' He said finally. 

You were so confused. You had a bad dream and now you're being called a demo-whatever-it-is. You coughed to get their attention. ' Can someone please explain what's going on?' you said. RL sighed. 'Okay... you might as well know...' 

----TIME SKIP BROUGHT TO YOU BY LEETLE TOM----

demilopitile- When you have been tested, possessed, or born as a sin (very rare)

 demophibian- What you call someone when they are partly a demon/ monster (like Tom)

He explained everything to you. You listened to it while trying not to freak out. I'm a monster. literally! You wanted to go back to bed and fall asleep and pretend all of this was just a dream. All you could do though was listen. After a few minutes, you took a deep breath in and sighed. You had impressed yourself with how chill you were acting considering you found out you're half-demon. ' So let me get this straight... I'm a half-demon?' You said. They both nodded and stared at you like you would rip them apart at any given moment. To their shock, you started laughing. You knew you sounded insane right now but the shock, fear, nightmares, and your strange behavior all had an explanation. Now at least you have a reason.

'Well, why is it such a big deal?' You said after a minute of calming yourself down. 'Well, Tom has it too. It's usually triggered by certain things. For you, it must be fear. If you don't understand how to control it then it only gets more and more dangerous until you are unable to return to your natural human senses.' He said gravely. 'Well then teach me how to control it!' You said louder than you meant to. He was silent for a moment ' We don't know how to control it.' He said at last. 'My glasses help me control it.' Said Tom in a sad distant voice. 'Well isn't there something I can wear then? like this bracelet.' You said pointing to it. ' That wouldn't work. it needs to be hooked up to your brain and we don't have the necessary tests to be sure it's safe or it would help you control your monster.' He said sighing. 'In the morning we will run the tests and your training will begin.' he said.

'You might as well begin getting ready for today. everyone else would be ready by now.' he said looking at his watch. you nodded and headed out. 'Also Edd is gonna be training you today. And please keep this all a secret dear.' He said as you walked out. You nodded and left. You went back to your dorm and got changed into a fresh uniform. You went straight to the cafeteria, hoping you would see Lillie. As soon as you saw her you pulled her aside from the table. 'Are you okay? What happened?' She said as you dragged her away. 'Listen, can we keep last night... y'know... between us?' You said quietly. she nodded and pretended to zip her mouth shit. 'Thank you.' You said gratefully.
