Gorya said it so easily, Ren had never spoken to anyone in college except for occasional group assignments when he replied to text messages addressed to all. Being an art major, any event management student would be in the ancillary credit subjects that he attends like literature or culture studies.
He needs to find someone for Gorya, she needs all the help he can give. It is not out of pity but out of love and respect for her. She made him feel important, a necessary contributor to her life.
Ren looked around the class, a girl with dark hair and deep brown eyes was staring at him. They made eye contact at the same instant she caught his eye.
He knew her, not know-know her, she was praised for her project last time the cultural event the department planned.
What was her name?
It didn't seem to be polite to approach someone for help without knowing their name first.
He took a deep breath as if he was about to climb a mountain before talking to that girl.
She was rushing somewhere, packing her bag hurriedly.
"Excuse me." She ceased to move for a while before turning and facing him.
Before he knew it, he had requested to meet her in the café near the campus to talk.
Ameena was standing in line for a latte, trying to calm herself down.
"You really did a fantastic job with the event last time..."
He trailed off, not knowing whether to add her name as if he knew her personally.
Ren hated dallying, and by the looks of it, Ameena didn't respect people who were careless with her time.
"Thank you. It was a team effort. What did you want to talk to me about?"
He wore that look on his face that he did when he was about to say something important.
"My friend, Gorya is looking to apply for event management undergrad. She is still unsure of what she wants to do, a realistic outlook will help. I was wondering if you could answer a few questions about your major. Can she contact you about that? "
