The next day everyone was up bright and early since Slaughter had let us all know about the activities he had planned.
Following yesterdays events Slaughter had been somewhat ignoring me after claiming that I was "Out of order", I didn't care though since it was time he'd gotten a taste of his own medicine and I was kind of enjoying being a tease.
I headed down the hall and stopped at Hayden's door, giving it a light knock before opening it. "Hayden," I called, stepping inside.
"Mmm" He looked up, one eyebrow raised as he slipped his feet into his Jordans. "Wagwan?"
"Can you stop giving me silent treatment now?" I laughed, settling myself on the bed beside him.
He stared at me for a moment before replying bluntly, "Am I not talking to you right now?"
"Well, yeah, but—"
"Exactly," he cut me off, voice flat. "So stop whinging."
I kissed my teeth realising his attitude was on a solid ten this morning.
"Who you kissing your teeth after?" he demanded, his voice sharp.
"You," I replied, rolling my eyes. "Quit being a crybaby."
"Lowe it, bruv," he muttered, shaking his head. "About 'crybaby..."
"Excuse me?" I scrunched up my face. "I'm not your 'bruv,' Hayden, have some manners."
I stood up, suddenly not in the mood to sit beside him. But before I could turn away, he took the opportunity to give me an extended once-over, eyes traveling up and down, and back up again. He wasn't even subtle about it, either—I knew I was looking good, so I let him take it all in.
"Hello?" I waved a hand, breaking up his little staring session. "Are you gonna talk?"
He threw his head back with an exaggerated sigh. "Sydney, I can't lie. Your presence is pissing me off right now," he said, laughing humourlessly. "Clearly you came in here on some bullshit, and I'm not with it."
"Oh, is it?" I matched his dry laugh, crossing my arms. "Cool. I'll leave you alone, then." I kissed my teeth again for effect before spinning around and walking out of his room.
"This girl, man," I heard him mutter as I slammed the door behind me.
Now it was Hayden's turn to receive silent treatment since he wanted to be a bitch about the situation that he had put me in many times before.
As I walked down the hallway, Tekkz spotted me and raised a hand to stop me. "Where you rushing off to?"
"I was just about to go look for Vanessa," I said with a smile.
"Oh, swear?" He scratched his head. "She's in Merkz's room, still. I think they're, you know..."
I laughed, catching his meaning. "Of course they are."
"Must be nice," he sighed. "I need a wife, man."
"Babes," I laughed, "you're, like, ten. You don't need to worry about a wife."
"Chill out with all that," he laughed, nudging me. "But on a serious note, I'm actually ready for a relationship now. Being single's getting long - especially when all the rest of my guys are settling down."
