Soo I've literally just read this book back myself and there's soo many mistakes 🫠 I write on my phone and I like long acrylic nails...that's my excuse but I will be once again going back and editing/fixing mistakes cause ew. Also gonna be changing a few things cause I was like 16/17 when I started this book and I didn't know SHIT about what I was talking about - it was all my imagination 🤣🤣.

"Babes come get me please" Merkz slurred down the phone
"Oh my days!" I fussed as I sat up in the bed "You said you were gonna have one drink!"
"April fools day" He laughed at his own stupidity
"It's not even April you idiot" I rolled my eyes as I slipped on one of his T-shirts that was entirely too big for me
"Ooo someone's on their period ain't they"
"I'm on contraception?"
"Oh yeah"
Kissing my teeth I booked myself an Uber using his card - he could pay for my ride since he wanted to be inconveniencing my time.
"Ayy Vanessa" He started again "You coming to get me?"
"Yes Cordell" I rolled my eyes "Just wait there I'm leaving in a sec"
"That's why you're my wife...YOU HEAR THAT YOU MAN THIS IS MY WI-"
I cut the call not wanting to hear him declaring his love for me to the people he was with.
In a honesty I was pissed off with Cordell - we were supposed to be having a movie night tonight but then he got a call from one of his cousins who had just came out of jail and obviously he wanted to celebrate. Cordell told me he was going to "pass through and have a single drink" but from the looks of it he got over excited as per usual.
The notification from the Uber app popped up on my screen signifying that my driver had arrived so I grabbed my coat and made my way downstairs before slipping on my pink crocs.
Once I got into the cab I greeted the driver and sat back in my seat mentally preparing myself Cordells drunk behaviour.
"Huh?" The driver asked as I laughed at a message I'd received from Sydney
"Oh no I was laughing at something on my phone" I responded as I continued to rant about how annoyed I was with Merkz.
Since both Merkz and Slaughter had came to into our lives, it sometimes felt as if we were drifting apart. We used to spend all of our free time together whereas nowadays most of my free time was spent being up under Merkz. I made a mental note to plan something nice for just me and her so we could have a much needed sisterly get together.
"Do you want me to stop here?" The driver asked me as we pulled up opposite the bar Cordell was at
"Yeah here's fine thank you" I smiled before I begun to ring Cordells phone to let him know I'd arrived
"Yoooo" He picked up instantly as I shut the car door behind me
"Where are you?" I asked as I waited to cross the road
"Car park" He spoke
"Are you alone?" I asked not wanting to see any of his cousins or friends in the state I was in since I had just rolled out of the bed to come and get this man
"Yeah man" he snickered making me suspicious as to whether he was telling the truth or not
"Alright I'm walking to the car park now"
