I could see a glow in my friends' eyes, a glow of curiosity. So then I declared that we will find the owner of this necklace and hanky. It was around 9 a.m. we started getting ready for our new adventure. Anny requested one of the park staffs to look after our baggages. I finished my squash, took my phone with me. Shelly took the necklace with her and Anny took the dogs and the hanky in her pocket.
We reached the entrance gate and Anny took out the handkerchief and had let the Dogs smell it. The dogs smelt it and ran towards a blue coloured house. I thought it might be the necklace's owner's house. We ran like thunderstorms behind those speedy dogs. But the dogs again smelt the hanky and took a sudden right turn making us run more and stopped in front of a red coloured house. Dory rang the bell.A lady wearing a sari opened the door. I could see a tensed, frightened impression on her face.
"What do you want?" asked the lady.
I could see on the letter box, Their surname Bose and replied her,
"Mrs. Bose I am Puki. We friends were playing in the nearby Spring Park and saw two dogs barking on a hanky and a-" I was stopped by the lady.
"See I am very busy in some work and I am not here to hear your story" the lady's face grew red.
"But aunty,we saw a gold necklace buried under the ground" continued Shelly without taking a breathe, " and these dogs took us here, Can u please see whether it's your's" she stretched her hand and showed the necklace to the bad tempered Mrs .Bose.
"Chunky, Munky yes they are my pets but how on Earth did the necklace land in the park?" the lady's hand trembling. She called her mother-in-law but it resulted that many members came out. By seeing everyone's shocked face I asked if the necklace belonged to them.
"Yes, it's my mother's", said the lady's mother-in-law.
"And is this familiar too?" Anny took out the hanky and passed it to the grandma.
" I think I saw it with our maid,Maya" an uncle with a sharp stern voice said,"yes yes, she took it with her most of the time".
Then everyone called Maya who came in a few minutes, tears in her eyes.
