Seeing her arrival, the uncle said," Did you bury this necklace in the park?If you tell the truth, I'll spare you but if you don't, be in the jail!"
The maid was nearly twenty seven years old with a slim figure and hairs which weren't of good care.
At the beginning when she was asked several questions, she said she didn't know anything. But when my bestie, Dory had shown her the hanky, truth fell like water from the waterfall.
"Madam, one day I saw this necklace in dadi's (grandma) room and at once I was in greed, so last night I took it out of dadi's wardrobe as dadi had forgotten to keep the keys safely. I had a plan to Bury it in the Spring Park at night and take it with me when I got the day off. And-" the maid was stopped by Anny
"Why didn't you take it with you last night?"
"Madam, because last night dadi requested me to stay with her as she had terrible pain in her knees. I am not greedy but suddenly this necklace attracted me very much. My house is far away from this city. And so I thought to pick it up the next day in the evening and go for the train. I won't do it again I apologise for my doings."the maid stopped.
Now everyone scolded the maid and we were satisfied to solve the mystery of the buried necklace. It was concluded that the maid would loose her job and this month's (May) salary would be cut off.
Who knows what might happen to her if she didn't spoke the truth.
