Chapter 8
Jessica
When I was done writing up both reports, Carson helped me get dressed and wrapped me in my corset and inserted the plug inside my ass. Once I was ready, he drove us to a diner named Dotty's. This is one of my favorite places to eat. They have the best burgers and fries. I was a bit nervous and not sure of our eating situation. So, before we sat down, I pulled him aside and asked him how this would work. It's not like I can kneel at your feet here. No, you will sit next to me when we are out like this. But you will allow me to feed you some fries from my hand.
We were seated at a booth and Carson allowed me to sit across from him. We ordered and Carson began telling me that Bradley is very interested in my training simulation. "He thought maybe you could watch some of our extraction videos and use them as new training simulations. Did you know we have live feed of every mission; we have been on, and it is saved into our data base."
"Wow, know I didn't know that."
"Bradley is going to meet us at the cabin after we get done here so, you can take him through your training simulation," said Carson. I just nodded.
"So, am I supposed to just drop my career choice now to work for the security company?"
"It's not like you have a business to run at the moment," said Carson. "I just thought it would give you something to do."
"Oh, so my destiny isn't plenty to do."
"No, I didn't say that. Why are you trying to pick a fight with me?"
"I'm sorry, I'm not. I just don't like feeling like I have no say over my life, and that is what it feels like you are doing to me. I mean, I have been trying here. But you need to let me be me. I explained to Carson.
I looked across the diner and saw several sets of red eyes staring back at me from the next table over. I began to swirl my power on the table and pulled out a few wooden sticks and gave them to Carson.
He looked up from eating and saw my eyes and saw that I passed him some vamp sticks and that I was looking past him. Then he saw me pulling out the hilt of my sword. I felt movement in the booth behind me. When Carson moved out of our booth going for the vamps behind him. I stabbed the vamp behind me in the head as he tried to come over the top of my booth. I stood getting out of the booth as Carson through a vamp on our table and I went for his head. Carson was fighting one vamp when another grabbed him from behind and tried biting him. I through him off with my power and blasted him with a blue flame instead of a fire ball. He crumbled to the ground into dust.
I looked at my hand, huh, the blue flame was just coursing over my palm as I looked at it.
Carson's hand went through the vamp's chest, and he pulled its heart from his chest, and it crumbled to dust. Carson looked around at the last vamp standing holding a collar as he pulled out his phone and called for a clean-up crew. I raised my hand and it changed glowed red, and I felt my power growing. The last vamp bolted through the wall dropping the collar at his feet. I walked to the collar as my power sucked the magic from the collar and Carson ask me.
"So, what's the deal with the collar. Not sure and it crumble in my hand after the power left it." I shrugged.
I spoke to the owner and told him to close for the day and we would cover his cost and he could reopen tomorrow. Carson and I left once the cleaning crew got there and we met Bradley at the cabin, and he brought Jonathan and Kate with him. Kate was impressed with the simulation and Bradley ask me to come in tomorrow and make a simulation training room for them.
I went home and tried to rest like Carson told me to. But I was too anxious. Between some witch blowing up my house a couple nights ago and some vamps trying to take me this morning, I needed answers.
