Ch VIII:Taxinómisi [Sorting]

Hadrian was perching on the stairs nonchalantly as he observed his new schoolmates. He could see the other students had gotten smittened by Roseanne, he could see the other students trying hard to befriend her and the girl was enjoying staying in the public.

"Hadrian." Draco called out to him, making him humm as he looked at his cousin and he saw another 2 boys at his side, "Meet Theodore Nott and Blaize Zabini."

"Pleasure to meet you, Hadrian Potter Black." He introduces himself with shaking their hand

Before they could answer, the door to the great hall was opened showing Prof. McGonagall walking to them and ushering them to go inside the Great Hall. Hadrian looked around the great hall, there were a bunch of candles floating around the air near the ceiling, 4 long tables with a bunch of students looking at them in excitement and curiosity. Hadrian looked at the Slytherin table where the students over there are composed, silent, elegant, and graceful.

The last thing he looked at was the Professors at the Head Table. Seeing Dumbledore sitting there made him clench his hands tightly to suppress his anger, Prof. Quirrell, who had made contact with him, had a flicker of crimson in his eyes when they made eye contact.

'Found one... Horcrux...' Hadrian thought

He saw his godfathers sitting next to Prof. Snape, who he knows is Lily Potter's ex-friend and the victim of James Potter's bullying. He looked at the side where he could see Lily Potter sitting next to Prof.Flitwick who looked at him with regret and remorse, why? He didn't understand but then when he was looking at James Potter, he could see the unreadable expression from him but it was only a flash before he looked at his beloved daughter again.

"Before we begin Professor Dumbledore would like to say a few words" Prof. McGonagall say

Prof. Dumbledore stood up, "I have a few start off-term notices, I wish to announce. The first year please note that the Dark Forest is strictly Forbidden to all students. our caretaker Mr. Filch has asked me to remind you that the 3rd floor corridor on the right-hand side is out of bound to everyone who does not wish to die a most painful death. Thank you"

Hadrian stayed silent as the first year students got called up, he clapped his hand in politeness when Draco got sorted into Slytherin along with the other Slytherin students.

"Har-" Prof. McGonagall halted and looked back at Lily and James who only stayed quiet to make her clear her throat, "Hadrian Myrdin Potter-Black..."

'Potter? Didn't Potter only have Rose?'

'Black? Is he the heir of Black House?'

'Who is he?'

Hadrian walked gracefully , like a pureblood, and sat on the stool with the Sorting Hat being placed on his head. He hummed quietly

"Oh? What's this?" The hat spoke out loud clearly in surprise as the students in the great hall went silent in intrigue, "My... This is surprising."

"Why... Is it because my mind is similar to a certain someone?" Hadrian inquire in amusement

"Well, that is not wrong. I could see you guys got along very well, Little Dragon." The hat answer through their mind

Hadrian's mouth twitched, "I take that as a compliment then... Well, he is the strongest wizard as far as I know."

The hat twitched, "That's a big compliment from you. Once again, your blood adopted parents have so many sins and of course, we are not that foolish to put their parent's sin into their children. But, your blood could make a backlash-"
