Naruto knew he had just a few days before Tobi's return from his mission. The blond boy was planning on carrying out his experiment and Kurama was not a huge fan of that plan but they had to try something.

Naruto was a skilled ninja, after all, he secretly trained and honed his skills for years prior to his escape; and after the three years of training with Tobi and the rest of the Akatsuki, he was as strong as ever. In his heart he knew that he could do better, if he would succeed in combining his chakra with Kurama's without losing control, they'd be truly unstoppable.

His end goal was simple he wanted to wreak havoc on Konoha for treating him like trash all his life and kill Tobi thus also stopping his deranged infinite Tsukuyomi plan. Tobi wished to subject everyone to an illusion of their desired perfect realty.

That idea didn't sit well with Naruto as he was a firm believer that a perfect world did not exist, it was merely a dream, a fake reality. After all, a dream is called a dream for a reason. It's an unattainable perfect world that lives in our imagination, a perfect lie. And why live a lie? Living a fake life was a burden Naruto knew all too well about, after all, he had to wear a fake smile on his face for as long as he could remember. If only there was at least one person in this world, who would genuinely care enough to see his true broken and crumpled up self. If he had a way to fill that hollow emptiness in his heart, he would.

He did try it for a little while after he became a genin, he was a foolish child thinking that his actions would overshadow the hate the village held for him. Oh, how big of a fool he was to believe in those useless sentiments. He gave It his all on his missions, he helped save the village during Orochimaru's attack, he brought back Sasuke and nothing, all he got was more disgusted stares and insults. It made him angry and furious, yes, but most importantly it hurt. Every single jab at him formed a crack in his fragile heart. After all these years, Naruto was sure it looked like a shattered piece of glass, millions of tiny little shards barely holding together.

Caring and believing for the better was a fool's dream. Carrying out his revenge plan was his only purpose and he was willing to risk everything to accomplish it. This is precisely why Naruto closed his eyes in concentration and opened them finding himself in the sewer like mindscape.

"So, you lazy fox are you ready to try ripping that seal off?" Said the blond teen with a cheerful grin on his face.

"What are you smiling for young brat, this stupid plan of yours might kill off both of us" scowled the fox.

"What about you being so gloomy? It's not like you are actually going to die," the blue-eyed boy shrugged "and besides if I die you'll finally be free from my constant nagging, isn't that what you always wanted?"

"Well, it may be decades for me to reappear again and I'm not exactly looking forward to it" Kurama grumbled

"Hmmm, ya know, if I'd known better it seems that you might miss me you sly fox, I totally guessed it right didn't I?" Naruto smirked and tapped his index finger on his chin.

"You blabber on too much kit," Naruto could see a faint trace of a smile appear on Kyuubi's face "we better get this idiotic experiment of yours over with"

"Right, so what do I do? Do I just rip the seal off your cage?" the teen asked.

"How do I know? It was your genius idea" Kurama bit back.
