Its September 1, which means I'm going back to Hogwarts for my seventh year. Which also means I'm going to see my best friends again after a long 2 months of not seeing them. Her mother took her on a vacation, to her family. She hadn't seen them since her fathers funeral, which was 2 years ago now

Merlin, she missed him dearly.

"Venus Circe Arkalis, come down this instant, or else you're going to miss the train!" Her mother yelled from downstairs. She sighed while closing her overfull trunk and ran down the hallway and down the stairs.
"Merlin's beard,Venus, stop right running down the hallway, you're turning 20 this year, so please behave like it." Her mother scolded her.

She rolled her eyes at this "my sincere apology, mother dearest."

Her mother was the one who roller her eyes now, but still cracked a small smile at her daughter.
"Let's go dear, we're apparating to king's cross".

Platform 9 ¾

"Mother have you seen Carmen or Av-" she couldn't even finish her sentence before she got tackled in a sandwich hug from her best friends.

"Veen! Oh how I've missed you" Carmen cried in her hair.

"Oh Merlin, I've missed you two bitches" Venus said, her mother gave her a pointing look

"Language young lady!" Her mother scolded her, making her cheeks flush an embarrassing pink color.

The three of them let go of eachother and looked at her sheepishly. "I'm sorry Mrs. Arkalis, it's just been so long!" Avery said while rubbing his neck awkwardly.

"Tut tut tut Avery, it's Aurora for you, I've washed your bum when you could barely walk, no need for these formalities" Carmen snickered at that
"Oh Carmen don't get me started on you now, dear." her mother said while laughing.

There was a loud whistle. "Mother we have to get on the train, it's nearly eleven"

Her mother looked at her lovingly "my little V, who isn't so little anymore," she said, sounding emotional. "Please be safe and stay out of trouble, I love you." Venus smiled and hugged her mother tight.

"No promises mother, but I love you so much. And please owl me whenever you feel lonely" she whispered to her mother, since father passed away she's afraid her mother would feel lonely at times, when she's at school.
She waved her mother goodbye and got on the train, waiting for Carmen and Avery who were saying goodbye to their own parents.

The three friends found an empty compartment and plopped down on the couches.
"So Veen, how was your trip to France?" Carmen asked while lifting her legs and putting them on Avery.

"It's been quite fun, we had a lot of catching up to do since the last time I saw them, how about you guys?" She asked them.

Avery leaned back with his hands behind his head. "Enough vacation talk ladies, have you heard the rumors?" The girls shared similar questionable looks.

"Well don't keep us waiting A, what is it?" Carmen asked impatiently.

He snickered at her. "Well, a little birdie told me that daddy Malfoy is going to be our new potions professor this year." And while he said this the compartment door slid open, and there stood Scorpius with Albus.
