Today was the day of the ball and Venus was excited but nervous.

"we have to get ready early Car, and u can't believe Albus finally had the balls to ask you" she said excited while clapping her hands. Carmen giggled, she looked truly happy about her date.

"I'm happy he did, and I heard Scorpius wanted to ask you but he didn't have the balls because you denied like, everyone in Hogwarts" Carmen said and gave her a knowing look.

Venus just shrugged "im glad he didn't ask because i would hate to turn him down too, besides I heard he's going with Rose Weasley, they would look cute together" Carmen nodded at her.
"By the way, who's Avery going with?" Venus asked.

Carmen snorted "you wouldn't believe it if I told you" this made Venus look at her with her eyebrow quirked, signaling to continue "he's taking Marie" Carmen said.

Venus's jaw dropped and laughed "oh my, I won't believe it until I see it with my own eyes. But either way, I hope they have fun, Marie is a cool girl and Avery is a cool guy. Match made in heaven" she said while shrugging, this made Carmen snort.

The girls were getting ready, Venus was doing her make-up, she went for a winged liner, and the usual foundation, bronzer and blush. She didn't want her make-up to be too dark, since her dress was dark blue.
She curled her hair in loose waves, and tied the front pieces together in the back, leaving a few strands out.
"You look stunning Veen, I can't wait to see your dress on you" Carmen said while looking at her through the mirror. Venus smiled at her and went to put her dress on.

She put on her black heels and walked in front of the mirror. Wow I am beautiful.
She heard Carmen gasp behind her "Merlin's tits Venus, Mrs. Malfoy knows her stuff, it's like it was made for you" Venus smiled to her through the mirror and did a little twirl.

"I feel like a princess" she said, admiring herself. She felt truly beautiful, for the first time in a long while.
Carmen put on her dress and to say she looked amazing was an understatement "Salazar's ballsack Car, you look absolutely breathtaking, Albus is going to love it" she said and hugged her friend tightly.
Both girls were ready and headed to the grand stairs.

The girls stood on the top of the stairs, just around the corner "Veen I can't do this, what if I fall?" Carmen groaned. Venus snorted.

"At least someone's there to catch you, I'm eating carpet for dinner if I fall" this made Carmen laugh and nod.

Carmen walked down first and all eyes were on her, she was truly proud of her beautiful friend.
Albus took her hand when she was downstairs. And now it was her turn.

She slowly walked to the stairs and walked down and she heard people gasp and whisper 'who's her date?' or 'she looks amazing''. She held her head high and she saw him waiting down the stairs, a little further in the back, with his jaw practically on the floor. Oh how she loves him.
She gave him a quick smile and made her way down the stairs, with no hand to take.

She saw McGonagall head her way "Miss Arkalis you look truly stunning, but I can't help but wonder where your date is. Who are you doing the opening dance with?" She asked with concern.
