Venus woke up early, but funny enough she was in her own bed. For a moment there she thought that it was all a nightmare. That was until she pulled away the covers and saw her bruised knees.
She looked over to Carmen's bed, only to see that it is empty.

She walked to the bathroom and looked in the mirror, and what stared back at her shocked her.
Her face had indents from nails, McLaggen grabbed her face so hard that it left marks.
But she could easily cover those up with a simple charm or some make-up. But the marks he left behind in her mind are a different story, she felt dirty. He had touched her on places only a few were lucky enough to touch. And that was with her permission. What if I'm afraid to be touched again? Can I never walk alone at school anymore? Do I need to watch my back everywhere I go?
Her mind raced a million miles per hour.

She sat in the shower, temperature set impossibly hot. She tried to scrub his touch away, on her arms, her breast, her hips and even her butt. Is there anything he didn't touch?
She started crying again.

"Veen? Are you in there? Are u okay?" Carmen asked in a worried tone.
Venus snapped out of it and looked down at her arms and legs. They were full of red scratches now, she managed to run so hard that her skin started to break.

"I'm fine car" she said with a slight tremble in her voice.

"Venus Circe Arkalis, I can hear you're not doing well. Open the door now" Carmen said in a motherly tone. Venus sighed and turned the shower off and put a towel on to unlock the door.
Carmen stormed in but stopped immediately at the sight of her beautiful friend looking rather devastated.
"Oh Veen, what happened?" Venus lip trembled at her friends question.

"Promise you won't think of me differently" she said sniffing.

"Venus baby, nothing can change my mind about you, you're basically my sister" Carmen said while bringing her in a hug. And she felt immediately comforted, Carmen had that kind of effect on her.

So Venus told her the whole story, from the assault to professor Malfoy helping her. The only detail she left behind was the fact that she slept in his bed until the morning.
Carmen looked at her with a tear streaked face.

"Oh my Merlin Veen, I'm so sorry I wasn't there for you. If I knew I wouldn't have stayed with Albus" she said while hugging her friend so close you would think they became one. Venus saw the guilt written on her face.

"It's not your fault Car, keep that in mind. And professor Malfoy arrived just in time before things got out of hand" she said in a whisper like voice.

"I swear I'm going to kill that slimy git, an unforgivable never looked to tempting" Carmen seethed.
Venus cracked a small smile at her.
"Professor Malfoy said he would handle it, so don't do anything silly Car, I need you with me not rotting away with bloody dementors" she chuckled.
Carmen mumbled something that sounded like 'I wouldn't even get caught'

Venus put a spell on her face and knees which made the bruises fade for a while and put on her white button-up, Slytherin tie and a black plaid skirt. She grabbed her robe and walked down to the common room with Carmen.
"Well hello there ladies, let's get some breakfast and then head to potions" Avery said while leading the way.
