Sasuke POV- the morning after Naruto left.

I woke up in my apartment and made myself food. I sat down at my table and slowly started eating, molling my thoughts over in my head. It had been almost a week since the Uchiha Massacre and I started going back to school a few days ago but I always felt empty. Nothing seemed to matter anymore. Not even my friend. I didn't have many friends, I only had one friend. Naruto. Though last time I saw him I had said some awful things. Bad things I should have never said. Things like
'I don't want to be your friend and I never did!'
'I wish you would just disappear!'
'I never want to see you again!'
'Go away and never come back!'
And much more horrible things. They were all lies. Naruto was and hopefully still is my best and only friend. Though if someone had said those things to me I don't think I would forgive them but Naruto isn't me at all. He's different. Maybe I should talk to him after school. I don't know if I can apologize. I'm just not that type of person, I've never been. It's against my Uchiha pride to apologize but maybe me and Naruto can just forget about it.

With that I finished my food and walked out the door, heading for school. When I got there I noticed one thing, Naruto wasn't there. I shrugged it off however since he was always late I assumed he would just come running in sometime during class. However he never did, he didn't show up to class at any time. So when class was over I went to talk to Iruka sensei.

"Sensei, where's Naruto?"

"Who?"
He asked, looking at me confused.

"Um Naruto, your student!"
I said slightly getting worried.

"Oh y-yeah him…"
He seemed to have less enthusiasm as he said this.
"I don't know. Um… oh he's probably just sick and won't be coming to class for a day or two."
He answered then went back to checking papers.

I wanted to get mad but his logic was sound. It was completely possible that Naruto just got sick and won't be coming to school today. With that reassurance I tried to go about the rest of my day as normal but I couldn't shake this feeling in my gut. It was the same feeling I had the night of my clan's massacre and I didn't like it. However I tried to ignore it but it only grew worse as time went on.

Naruto didn't come to school the next day or the day after. Everyone seemed to not even notice his absence, everyone except me. I started to panic when he was gone for almost a whole week. Eventually I was done and went to the Hokage to notify him.
I knocked on his door and I heard his old voices through the door.

"Come in."
He said and I entered the room. He was sitting at his desk with stacks of papers on either side of him.
" Oh Sasuke how are you are you alri-"

"This isn't about me!"
I almost yelled. Why did everyone always care about me?! I'm not the only person in this stupid village!
"This is about Naruto.."
I said in a much calmer tone than before.

"Oh I see… what trouble has he caused this time?"

"I don't think that he's the one causing trouble, I think he's the one in trouble."
The Hokage raised a brow at my words but said nothing so I continued.
"He hasn't come to school in almost a week nor have I seen him anywhere in the village and I'm starting to have a bad feeling something has happened to him. I don't know where he lives so…"
I trailed off hoping the hokage got what I was trying to say.

"So you want me to send some people to go check on him, is that it?"
He asked, leaning back in his chair.

"Yes"
I stated simply.
We sat in silence for a moment As he considered my request before he answered.
