A Whole New Twist

FILLER EPISODE

IMPORTANT!!!
Like in the actual Naruto show, I'm going to be throwing in Filler episodes here and there. You can skip them if you want. Most of them will either be fluff or smut while others will be more creative, like musicals. You can skip them if you want but I'd say read them. It gives a lot more personality to the characters!

Madara and Zetsu had no idea that Kistune was really Naruto the nine-tails jinchuuriki and Tobi was planning to keep it that way for as long as possible, or at least until he can find a way to separate Naruto and the nine-tails without killing him. That was Tobi's goal at the current time, to find a way to safely remove the Kyuubi without killing Naruto in the process. How was he going to do that? He had searched for almost nine years and still could find no answer but he was determined! He had lost everything he once loved now again he had something he loved and he wasn't going to lose it again. No matter what he had to do or who he had to hurt in the process!

Tobi did not return to his separate bed that night. Instead he cradled Naruto in his arms all night until the sun rose the next day.

Back In The Village

3ed POV-

Kitsune, Tobi, and Itachi reached the hidden leaf village late that afternoon. The whole village seemed to glow with the soon to be setting sun, shining in between all the buildings. They didn't plan to stay in the village long, Itachi simply said he had some 'family follow-up business' he needed to attend to. Tobi, too, said he had some personal business. What any of that meant, Naruto didn't know and really didn't care. He was too on edge to pay attention to what the adults were saying.

Itachi awoke the next morning very tired from being disturbed by a screaming Kitsune. Honestly it panicked him. He saw Kitsune as almost another little brother to him and just like with Sasuke, he would do anything to protect him and make him happy. So to be awoken in the middle of the night by his screams certainly shook him up a bit, in such a way that it was hard for him to go back to bed. Pity. He barely ever got sleep to begin with.

He slipped out of bed wrapping himself in his Akatsuki robe as he looked outside to check the time. It was still quite early. The sun had not yet shown its face and the early morning fog had not yet cleared. Still, if they wanted to reach the hidden leaf in a timely manner they should be on their way shortly.

Itachi cleaned the room, making it look the exact same as when he arrived. He hated messy places and always liked to keep his surroundings clean.
By the time he had finished, the crust of the sun was now above the hills, making the sky a beautiful shade of pink and streams of sunlight beamed through the branches of the trees. Reflecting off the fog and making everything glow a soft yellow.
Itachi preferred sunset rather than sunrises but still, it was beautiful, and itachi couldn't help taking a moment to look out the window to admire the stunning view. Knowing everyday brought the time of his death closer, he wanted to enjoy life while he still could. At least before his time was up.

Itachi exhaled a breath of refreshing air as he stepped away from the window and headed out the door, locking it behind himself. He walked down to the room right next to his, where Tobi and Kitsune slept. Before he could knock to ask for entry he heard a slight sound come from the other side of the door. It wasn't a sound of pain like the one he heard the night before. It was soft and soothing. Though itachi could not quite make out what the sound was through the closed door, it was too quiet. So he opened the door, just a crack. Not enough to be noticed but enough to let the sound on the inside out. He could hear the sounds clearer now and could tell exactly what they were. It was Tobi. Tobi was singing a soothing lullaby to Kitsune while slowly rocking back and forth. Tobi was sitting up on the pillows with Kitsune in his lap. Tobi held one hand on the back of his head, which was lying limp on Tobi's shoulder. Kitsune was fast asleep while Tobi looked like he had been awake all night singing to the sleeping child.
