I hear my doorbell ring around a couple of hours after our call, I rush to the door reaching out to open it but I do hesitate for a few seconds preparing myself for what I'm about to see.
But finally I pull it open, Rosaline is at the door but instead of being covered head to toe in blood looking frantic like she had a couple hours ago she looks completely put together.
She has on a navy blue suit which is oversized and baggy my eyes travel to her shoes which are just black boots like she had on the first time I met her then her blonde hair is slightly curled with a few strands tucked behind her ears she also has on excessive amounts of jewellery which she always seems to overdo but it weirdly suits her, especially the silver rings on her hands. Before I can even say anything about her change of clothes she hands me a bouquet of flowers and a bottle of red wine I stare down at them confused ready to ask questions but she just pushes past me and makes her way into the house. I whip around to look at her she just makes her way towards the lounge I follow behind with the wine and flowers still in my hands.
" Wine? Flowers?" I ask.
She takes her jacket of throwing it on the floor I stare down at it crouching down and picking it up I watch as she sits down making herself comfortable on my couch. My eyes travel to her white blouse which is unbuttoned I can see her skin underneath I look away embarrassed at myself for looking.
" Shall I pour you a glass, I believe I got the correct one" she says. She stands up grabbing the bottle from my hand then heading to my kitchen. " I can also make us some food if you'd like?"
I follow after her hastily grabbing onto her arm stopping her as she reaches into my cupboards for the glasses.
" What do you think is going on here? Are you utterly insane! I shout out.
The glass that was in her hand drops to the floor smashing everywhere before I can continue to shout at her she just grabs me by my shirt pulling me closer, her eyes study my face intensely as her eyes darken.
" I'm trying to cook you dinner, maybe instead of constantly questioning me you'd sit the fuck down and let me"
Her grip around my shirt gets tighter I don't think I've ever seen her this angry before that same look from earlier shows on her face. I take a step back removing her hand from my collar walking back to the lounge so she can continue what she's doing. I have a gut feeling to just let her do her thing or else it could end very badly. If she wants to play house and cook me dinner, tonight I'll let her.
I can't relax so I just sit back on the edge of the couch, I hear moving about in the kitchen some clashing of pots and pans then her humming. A few minutes later she comes in with two glasses of wine, smiling at me she hands me one joining me on the couch. She sits really close to me, this makes the hairs on my arms raise
" I'm making spaghetti bolognese, it's all you had in so I hope that's okay" she takes a sip of her drink then points at my glass, "please have a sip"
I bring the glass to my lips swirling around the red wine in the glass, maybe I'm nervous she's drugged me again as I feel my hands sweating but given the atmosphere I just bring it up to my mouth drinking a large sip before placing the glass down.
" Spaghetti sounds good to me." I say smiling at her putting on my warmest face.
I see her raise a brow but she doesn't say anything else but just takes another sip from her glass. I just want to know what she did with the bodies and why the hell she's messing with me but I just know she's a little unstable right now so pushing her could end up dangerous. I will get answers from her but maybe I need to just go along with her stupid dinner, I've found it easy to put on acts with people before so today should be no different.
