"So while you were gone, I called my old foster home to send me any information they had about my birth parents. And right before I joined you for wine I received my birth records and it looks like my mother's youngest brother lives out in Brooklyn. I called and he invited me over tomorrow" said Ariel nervously. "that's huge babe, do you want me to come with you tomorrow" asked Alice as she finished towel drying her hair. "Thanks for the offer but I think this is something I need to do on my own but I'll call you if I need any support" replied Ariel as she jumped off Alice's bed and made her way to her room

The next day, Ariel left around nine cuz Daniel said he wanted to meet around eleven-thirty at some cafe near his house. The whole time Ariel was driving she couldn't help but feel nervous and a bit panicky but also excited. After years of not knowing anything about her birth parents, she was finally going to meet her uncle. Ariel arrived at Honeycomb Cafe around eleven with hundreds of butterflies in her stomach. Ariel knew that after today her whole world would change

(she wasn't wrong, but it wasn't just her life that would change)

As Ariel walked in she spotted a middle-aged man who couldn't be older than thirty sitting by the window wearing a well-pressed suit and drinking what Ariel assumed to be black coffee. "Excuse me are you, Daniel Gonzalez," asked Ariel nervously. Daniel looked up to see a young woman that was almost the spitting image of his older sister. "Mickey is that you," asked Daniel happily. Ariel nodded as Daniel jumped up and hugged his niece. "It's nice to meet you too," said Ariel as they both sat down. "I'm sorry for the boisterous welcome, but it's been so long since I last saw you and your sister" exclaimed Daniel

"I have another sister," said Ariel surprised. "no you only have one sister, Alice. Which reminds me why didn't Alice come with you today" asked Daniel as he took a bite of his lemon danish. "I'm confused why would Alice has come, I didn't meet her till after my parents died" replied Ariel. "Mickey, you and Alice are sisters by blood, not adoption," said Daniel as Ariel started to tune everything else out, everything after "Alice is your younger sister" fell on deaf ears. Ariel just sat there trying to process the gigantic news she had just been given from her or I guess their uncle

Until next time
