today is the anniversary of (something traumatic) that (oc) had to go through before they became a ninja. however, since they weren't with their family thanks to ninja business, they weren't able to commemorate whatever memory it was.
(crush) notices that (oc) is hiding something as they start getting more reckless with their decision making/acting different than usual.
when (oc) ends up messing something up for everyone due to not being in a decent headspace at the moment, they run off. before anyone can say anything though, (crush) runs off after them.
