Henry stomped into the room, gripping a piece of paper angrily in his hands, glaring at each of his sons before slamming the page down on the desk.

"Would either of you like to tell me what this says?" he snarled. Both Anthony and Alphonse knew at this point it was a lot safer to stay quiet, so the room grew silent. Smoothing out the paper, Henry looked over at Anthony, a false smile on his face. "Why don't you read this out loud for your brother and me, hm?"

Anthony cautiously grabbed the paper and cleared his throat, keeping his eyes on the words in front of him instead of facing Henry's barely suppressed rage.

"It's talking about the Volkov's new club downtown." he read aloud, a slight tremor in his voice. Henry, thank god, didn't notice the note of nervousness and snatched the page out of his hands. "Exactly! Those stupid russians are gaining on us!" He rounded on Alphonse, stabbing his finger into his son's chest with each word he spoke. "Wasn't it your job to put that whore heiress of theirs out of the running?"

Alphonse nodded, breathing shallowly to avoid the smoke of his father's cigar. "She's better at getting away than we thought." he offered weakly.

Henry let out a shout of anger and began angrily pacing the length of the room. "Tonight," he sneered, "you two will head over to that new dive they threw together and fix this, you understand?" Both brothers nodded and sat in silence before the mafia boss left, slamming the door behind him.

Alphonse stood up and brushed nonexistent dust from his jacket and glanced at Anthony. "You heard the boss," he said with false assurance. "Get a couple of men together. I'll see you tonight."

He nodded at the guards posted at the doorway and made his way through the richly furnished halls of his family's manor. Not breaking his stride for anything, solely focused on getting back to his room and away from the prying eyes of the mob.

Lighting a cigar from his desk, he leaned against the polished wood of his desk, mentally going over the steps he would have to take to redirect Henry's anger away from him and his siblings. Molly was safe for now; it was Henry's own belief that women had no place in the 'family business'. Anthony would be fine if they succeeded in catching the Volkov girl.

The last time Alphonse had attempted kidnapping her, she had managed to duck into a taxi, eject the driver, and had driven away before he had even gotten more than a glimpse at her.

But this time would be different. By the time he met up with Anthony and a team of mafia members, he had already formulated a plan and several other backup options.

They split up into different groups, taking different cars with the plan to meet up at the club. Alphonse slid into the seat of his car and turned the ignition, waiting until the first two cars had rolled down the street before pulling out and turning onto the alternate route.

The club was impressive, he had to admit. All bright lights and marble, full of New York high society patrons. Alphonse swung the car doors closed and handed the keys to a valet before walking through the doors.

He was willing to bet that at least half of the glittering socialites here had done regular business with his family, only to suddenly switch allegiance as soon as they were offered fine company and entertainment. It would be entertaining, at least, when they'll all try to flock back to us when we burn this place to the ground, he thought, scanning the room for his brother.

Anthony nodded to him from a balcony table, flicking his eyes towards the men stationed all over the dining floor. Alphonse pulled his hat down and sat down at a table about a foot from the stage. It was no secret that little miss Volkov performed at whatever new location her family was currently using.
