WINTER DAD

Your name is Lucy Barnes but you go by Lucy Smith at school. You live with the avengers, train and go on a few missions here and there mainly as back up. You are known as the dark soldier. You work very closely to your dad and if either of you become soldiers you are both the only ones who can help you get back into yourself. Bucky is 106 and you are technically 90 but look 16.

You were sitting in Chem bored out of your brain. This was something that you learnt from HYDRA around 70 years ago. Oh well. You were staring out of the classroom window when the teacher Mrs Johnesen spoke up.

Mrs Johnssen: Ok everyone tomorrow we have a surprise field trip so please get your gardien to sign this slip.

Liz looked at you and mouthed 'you're dead' . You just rolled your eyes and walked out of the class and to your locker. You get everything out and then go home to the tower.

Yn: hey I am home

Bucky: Hey sugar plum (IYKYK) , how was school?

Yn: it was alright, we are going on a surprise field trip tomorrow so I need aunt Pep to sign my form.

Pepper: What do I need to do?

She said walking down the stairs.

Yn: Jesus it is like when someone says your name you are summoned to that place.

Pepper and Bucky laugh.

Pepper: it does seem that way but also Jesus does not belong in a sentence about me that is your dad.

This made you laugh. (wakanda)

Bucky: Hey, that is not nice.

Yn: yeah, yeah, anyway Aunt Pep can you sign this form for me please.

Pepper: sure

She takes the paper and signs it.

Pepper: what is it for anyway?

Yn: surprise field trip tomorrow.

Pepper: enjoy.

You arrive at school and hand the form as you walk onto the bus. Once the bus starts it goes on a familiar route.

Yn mind: OMG I AM GOING TO DIE

Mrs Johnssen: Everyone, I can now inform you that we are going to SI for our field trip.

You just start to bang your head onto the chair in front of you.

Yn mind: why me, why me, why me

Then the bus comes to a stop and everyone gets out of the bus. And into the lobby. When you get in everyone's bewildered with the sight and looking around while you just roll your eyes at everyone. You are here everyday so this is no surprise for you. You went through the day with minor mishaps from anyone. That was until lunch. You were eating alone when the sirens went off, not just any sirens but the Winter Soldier siren.

FRIDAY: WINTER HAS BEEN ACTIVATED PLEASE REMAIN CALM AND WHERE YOU ARE.

Everyone's face paled. They were near where the winter soldier was. While your face went bright red from anger. Who decides to make your father turn into the winter soldier?

Yn: FRIDAY where is winter right now?

You yell getting everyone's attention

FRIDAY: heading here in 5 seconds

Yn: good, who did it?

Friday: no one had a bad dream.

With that winter walked into the doors. And everyone moved to the walls as instructed. However everyone was confused why you were just standing there like it was nothing. Winter started walking towards you looking murderous before you spoke.

Yn: Winter what is your mission?

You asked sternly.

Winter: protect daughter from torture.

You gave him a small, sad, smile. His missions always related to what had happened in his dreams, this one must have been about you being tortured.

Yn: winter, I am fine.

Winter said nothing, but kept walking towards you.

Yn: Winter, stop.

With that he stops.

Yn: Winter, look around, tell me 3 things you can see.

Winter: people, roof and tables

Yn: 2 things you hear.

Winter: breathing and cooking.

Yn: 1 thing you can feel.

He walks up to you and gives you a hug.

Winter: you.

He says as he looks back and lets go.

Yn: ok, now did I whine or scream in pain when you hugged me?

Winter: no

Yn: I have not been tortured, we are safe now, we are in the avengers tower, we are home.

Winter's face slowly relaxed and you could tell he was back to Bucky/dad.

Yn: welcome back dad.

Bucky: What happened and who did I hurt?

Bucky asked, panicked that he hurt someone.

Yn: you are fine, no one hurt, well beside some mild heart attacks. You had a nightmare and became him.

Bucky: thanks sugar plum. You always know how to calm me down.

You finally turn back to the class.

Yn: all good guys he's fine now.

Bucky finally noticed the others. And went wide eyed.

Bucky: Hey guys I am really sorry, I didn't mean to scare you.

Girl 1: It is fine Mr Barnes, we all understand.

You and Bucky looked relieved that one of the kids was so kind after what happened.

Bucky: thanks. Also Mrs Johnssen can I take yn, for a second.

Mrs J: yeah that is fine.

Bucky took you out and gave you a big hug.

Yn: Dad, what was your nightmare about?

Bucky: We were back at HYDRA. They had used all the devices on you and you could barely breathe.

Yn: oh I am so sorry Dad.

You gave him a bigger hug and wiped away his stray tears.

Yn: I am ok and I love you.

Bucky: Love you too sweetie.
