Arthur's POV
________________Making sure not to give away my true feelings. I slowly make my way from the throne room. Struggling with myself not to turn back, with swords blazing, and stab that retched goblin in the heart. Only the thought of Gauis still trapped within stays my hand.
Reaching my chambers. I instruct the guards outside my door not to let anyone in but me. Once I am sure I won't be distrubed I open my door. Entering my silent room and bolting the door behind me. The moment the click of the lock sounds. I am dashing across the room. To the ante chamber. Praying that she is still safe within. Throwing open the door. I release a sigh of relief. Upon seeing Merlin laying on the old worn bed reading a book of creatures. I frown at this. Although itsnot a book on magic, just creatures of magic. It still makes me uncomfortable to see her reading it. Better yet how did she even get that with the guards patrolling the hallways? Never mind not important right now.
"You know you should be careful who sees you with a book like that. It may only be on magical creatures but my father won't care. He will kill you anyway." I state trying but failing to figure out why it bothers me so much to see her reading a book on magical creatures. She jumps at my words. Slamming the book shut as she stares at me with wide frightened eyes. I roll my eyes at this.
"Don't worry. I know your too much of an idiot to have magic. I assume thats one of Gauis approved books to help the king when he is faced with creatures like this?" She seems relieved at my conclusion and quickly nods her head in agreement. Before reopening it to the page she was on. Curious to what she is reading. I move closer. So as to read over her shoulder as she speaks.
"Yes. I was looking up ways to stop a goblin with out magic. When I mistakeningly released it from its confinment. It was in what I have deduced to be a box of sealing. The 7 sorcerers who orginally sealed it away. Used some kind of spell to trap it in the box for all eternity. Since we don't have the spell they used, not that we can use magic anyway..." At this she glanced at me almost warily before continuing.
"Our only option would be to trick it back into the box. From what I understand of these creatures. We can use some of your gold to lure it into the box before slamming the lid shut. As the box is already enchanted. It doesn't need to be re- enchanted. Which is a good thing seeing as whatever spell they used was so powerful. That it killed them shortly after. Only problem is its currently possessing my uncle. To get it to leave my uncles body we will need to cause my uncle to be close to death or by using a goblin repellent."
"Goblin repellent?" I ask.
"Its basically a potion that can be made into a spray. Its made from a variety of herbs and plants. Basically though once sprayed on the target. It forces the goblin to leave its hosts form or risk death by the spray. As some of the ingredients needed are posionus to goblins. Once used the Goblin will be unable to take control of another host for 24 hours. Giving us time to lure it back into its crate. Only downside. It causes the perviously possessed host to fall unconscious for 2 days" She explained scanning the list of ingredients for the repellent before closing the book.
"Ok so we will use the repellent. I can easily use it during one of the meetings father has with him. That way we can prove your innocence and free Gauis. I will get the ingredients and bring them in here. That way you can make it without risk of being discovered." I decided. Already having snatched the book from her and heading to the door before she could argue.
"Wait. What about Morgana? Where...."
"The goblin convinced father that she was enchanted and so he confined her to her chambers till you are caught." I anwsered before exiting. Closing the door behind me.
