Gwen's POV

"Elyan!?" I gasp. My heart constricting painfully as I stare into the sorrowful eyes of my brother. His tired face covered in dirt and grime. Lips drawn into an unhappy frown.

"Hello Gwen. Its been a while." He softly intones. Stopping mere inches from me. Arms hung loosely at his sides.

"But how. I thought you were dead? Dad said...." I trail off in confused hope as he sighs in exasperation.

"So he told you I was dead then. Well can't say I'm surprised. Look Gwen. The truth is dad and I got into a fight. A really bad fight. I was tired of being cooped up. I wanted to see the world. To find who I am, but dad wanted me to take over the family business. He wanted me to become a black smith like him but I didn't want that. Dad claimed I was wasting my potential but I knew I could be doing more. So I left." He stated matter of factly. The single glimmer of pain in his eyes telling me theres more to the story then he lets on. At the moment though I didn't care. My mind distracted by the fact the brother my dad and I buried so long ago. Is standing inches from me.

"But we buried you. Sure there was no body, but dad came home with mothers bracelet that you never take off. It was covered in blood. How..."

"It was probably animals blo..." I cut him off at this. My eyes alight with a wild flame. My words coming out harsher then I meant but right now I didn't care.

"Elyan. I know it was your blood, because even though I never mentioned it to dad. i found your blood near a broken window. Dad claimed that he fell into it and accidentally cut himself. Even had a fake bandage around his arm as proof, but when I went to check it when he was asleep. Afraid it would get infected. Guess what I found. No cut. He wasn't even hurt." I snapped tears falling from my anger filled eyes as my volume turned to screaming in my rage. Until finally my next words came out in a whisper.

"I thought he killed you. I knew you and him never had the best of relationships. I still remember the times I would come home and you had a broken arm. Elyan when I saw that bracelet. That you never take off. Covered in blood. I was certain he had finally killed you." I turned away at this. Closing my eyes in pain as I crossed my arms protectively over my chest.

"Gwen I..." Once more I cut him off.

"I never bothered to ask dad about my suspicions. I was too afraid he would turn on me next. Yet strangely he never once raised his hand to me. Never once raised his voice. If anything he was the perfect dad to me. If anything that only made me more afraid to ask. Yet still part of me hoped since we never found a body that you were still out there. I waited by that window for days. Hoping that this would be the day you would send a letter. That this would be the day you would return. Yet you never bothered to write. After a while. I gave up and accepted that my brother truly was gone forever." By now my bottom lip was trembling as tears welled unwillingly in my eyes. Making him wince at the pain on my face.

"Gwen I..."

"Just leave me alone." I snapped wiping away the tears with the back of my hand and retreating to a corner of the cell not covered in rat droppings. Curling up into a ball. I closed my eyes. Blocking out my brothers attempts to speak. Until finally he gave up and retreated back to his corner. Deep down I knew it wasn't his fault. That him leaving was the best thing he could of done in this situation, but still the other part of me. The part that constantly lived in fear wondering if dads rage would turn on me next. Feels nothing but betrayal for leaving me behind.

Arthur's POV
---------

"Hold up." I quietly call. Holding up a hand to stop the others from advancing. My eyes narrowing as I regard the poorly guarded hallways.

"Whats wrong?" Morgana hissed coming up beside me. Leon and Merlin not far behind.

"Its too easy." I hissed back. Not liking how quickly we managed to get in. At this Morgana fell silent seeming to realize the same thing I did. Withdrawing my sword as Leon did the same. I slowly waved to continue forward. Arriving at the entrance to the dungeons. I yanked a torch roughly from the wall and began carefully inching my way down the rickety old stairs.

"Gwen!" Morgana gasps once we had entered the main dungeon. Spotting the cell with the curled up figure of her maid servant. Rushing past me. Morgana quickly began searching the walls for something to free Gwen. A quiet crow of triumph alerts us to the fact she found the key.

"Hold on Gwen I will have you out in..."

"No don't! The bars are cursed!" A deep male voice exclaims seconds before Morgana inserted the key into the lock. Swinging the door open. For a moment silence falls. Before hesitantly Morgana speaks.

"W.. well maybe it only affects those on your side?" She states. Sharing a meaningful look with Merlin that I completely miss as I barge past. Glaring at the man in the cell with Gwen.

"Who are you." I demand. Stepping unconsciously in front of Gwen. As if to block her from view. Only to feel her gently hands squeezing my shoulder as she steps around me.

"Arthur. This is my brother. Elyan." I reel back at this. Confusion marring my face.

"You mean the brother you never want to talk about?" Morgana asks glancing behind Gwen and Gwens brother.

"Yes." She stiffly states ignoring everyone and pushing out of the cell.

"Anyway lets go." With that she vanished around the corner. Missing the looks everyone shares behind her back.

"Well you heard her. Lets go." I cough uncertaintly following her out of the cell and up the stairs. Yet the moment we reach the top. I realize why it was so easy. It was a trap.

"Hello Arthur. Did you really think it would be that easy?" Mourgouse giggles. Eyes glittering menacingly as the multide of armed guards behind her shuffles closer to us. I scowl at this. Tightening my hand on my sword. Only for it to fly unwillingly out of my hand and into the hand of the witch. Along with the others weapons as well.

"Now we can't have that. Its no fun if the game ends to soon. Guards take all but the lady Morgana back to the dungeons. My sister and I have some unfinished business." She commands handing our swords to the guards surrounding us.

"NO! LEAVE HER ALONE!" I shout. Fighting against the hands now tugging me forcefully into the dungeons. As another guard grabs Morgana forcing her to follow the retreating Mourgouse.

"MORGANA!"
