Family Dinner

ESME

I am helping my mom prepare dinner as we're expecting guests today. Mom made broccoli chicken casserole, streak and shrimp kabobs,Arborio Rice and White Bean Soup and apple pie for dessert.

We heard our doorbell ring and dad welcomed the guests. They all were dressed nicely. I could see a boy and a girl of my age. I greeted all of them and they introduced.

"Hello Esme it's nice to finally meet you".

"Thank you sir..it's nice to meet you too."

"Esme these are Mr. Robinson's children Ace and Amber" My mum introduced them.

They were twins. They both looked similar except their hair. Amber had blue hair while Ace had brownish kinda hair. Otherwise their facial features were same.

After dinner, the elders started talking on serious matters and my mum asked me to take Ace and Amber to my room.

Ace was quiet during dinner, he didn't utter a single word whereas Amber was taking part in conversation. She complimented my hair too.

After I lead them both to my room. Ace's expressions changed and he took a long deep breath.

"He doesn't like social gatherings". Said Amber.

"Oh..that's fine..you don't have to pretend anymore Ace".

"Yeah". He smiled lightly.

"I heard that you're going to the famous lab in the city." Asked Amber.

"Well not anymore. I am prohibited from entering".

"Whyy?" She asked with a concerned look.

"Well long story"...

.. I told them everything and they both were listening to me with all the concentration.

"Omg you know that there is only one time machine made till now that too by the asteroid lab. You have a nerve Esme" she laughed.

"Then we should definitely take help from dad and make our personal time machine". Ace suggested.

"It's not easy".

"But it's also not impossible Esme, we can atleast try. Dad knows a lot about scientific gadgets .We can take his help." Amber said.

"Well maybe."

"Yes and then you can go back and meet your friends again". She clapped excitedly.

Yeah. I thought to myself. Maybe Eren and I can start our new journey together, how he wanted it to be. He meant that he liked me more than just friends. Friends don't kiss each other. Do they?

I got out of my thoughts when Amber shook me.

"You okay Esme? What do you think?"

"I think it's a good idea, maybe we can do it."

I showed them the book I've been writing. They both read it and really liked it. I think we're already friends.

"You can become a writer Esme. That was really good." Amber said.

"No one would read that in today's world tho."

"I would." Ace said looking at me.

"Esme come here along with Ace and Amber" my mother called me.

I really liked Ace and Amber.

We said our goodbyes and I helped mom clean the kitchen and table.

...

The only thing revolving around my brain is
'TIME MACHINE'. I hope Mr. Robinson helps us in making the time machine. So that I can go and visit Eren again.
