In the kitchen, Lumière and Cogsworth burst through the doors "They're coming, Final check everyone" Lumière called out "No you don't. If the master finds out you violated his orders he will
blame me" Cogsworth stood his ground "Yes, I will make sure of it. But you see, we stand up to him. I'm telling you, this girl is the one. I mean they had a connection at the ball that night. They just need a little help rekindling"Lumière told Cogsworth as he checked things out in the kitchen "She'll never love him after the way he treated her. They were never in love in the first place" Cogsworth fought back "A broken clock is right two tildes a day mon amie, but this is not one of those times. Stand up straight, it's time to sparkle" Lumière rambled. Lumière jumped up on the stove, checking the food. There was so much noise going on that it bothered Cogsworth "Keep it down" Cogsworth warned LOf course. Of course. What is dinner without a little music?" Lumière jumped down and headed to the dinning room "Maestro Cadenza, are you ready?"Maestro Cadenza laughed "It has been so long since I have performed. I can barely even remember how" The top of the piano opened music began playing until he hit an odd note. Both Lumière and Cadenza shuttered "Pff, another cavity" "Masetro, your wife is upstairs finding it harder and harder to stay awake. She's counting on you to help us break this curse" Lumière reasoned "Then I shall play it through the dental pain" Maestro replied "Maestro" Cogsworth interrupted "Play quietly please" "Oh, quietly. Of course" Maestro huffed "Are there any other tasteless commands you wish to make upon my artistry?" "No that's it"Cogsworth replied with a slight sneer in his tone. The back and forth ended when Mrs. Potts brought Leta into the
room "There you are dear" Mrs. Potts led her in. Lumière tapped his candles together, causing Chapeau to dim the
candles. Plumette came down to create a spotlight with a sliver platter. Lumière then jumped down and stood in the middle of the table. Leta was still standing up, hot knowing what was going on. Leta stood there as Lumiére began his introduction.
"Ma chère Mademoiselle, it is with deepest pride and greatest pleasure that we welcome you tonight. And now, we invite you to relax"
A chair pushed up against Leta's legs, which caused her to fall back. She was pushed us closer to the table.
"Let us pull up a chair, as the dining room proudly presents..."
Leta was in awe as the plates and silverware came flying down onto the table. She shuttered when Maestro Cadenza hit a cavity in his playing
"Your dinner"
"Be our guest! Be our guest
Put our service to the test
Tie your napkin round your neck, cherie
And we'll provide the rest"
Chapeau gave Leta a napkin and she gave him a small thank you. As he went away, she placed it down on her lap.
"Soup du jour
Hot hors d'oeuvres
Why, we only live to serve"
Chapeau came back around, showing her the food. Every time she went to go grab some of it, she would move. It kind of frustrated her that she couldn't get any of it.
"Try the grey stuff, it's delicious
Don't believe me? Ask the dishes"
Leta gave an odd smile to Lumiére.
She watched in awe again as the dishes began to fly in the air as if they were dancing.
"They can sing, they can dance
After all, Miss, this is France
And a dinner here is never second best"
There were pieces of paper fifing around and Leta stood up slightly
in order to grab one.
"Go on, unfold your menu
Take a glance and then you'll
Be our guest
Oui, our guest
Be our guest!"
Th doors that had decorations on them opened with carts of food entering the dining area.
"Beef ragout
Cheese soufflé
Pie and pudding, en flambé
We'll prepare and serve with flair
A culinary cabaret!"
There was a glass filled and Leta had nothing to drink for a while. She grabbed it, but Lumiére pulled it back down.
"You're alone
And you're scared
But the banquet's all prepared
No one's gloomy or complaining
While the flatware's entertaining
We tell jokes! I do tricks
With my fellow candlesticks!"
"And it's all in perfect taste
That you can bet"
"Come on and lift your glass
You've won your own free pass
To be our guest
If you're stressed
It's fine dining we suggest
Be our guest"
There was a pinkish light that reflected off the glasses. Leta smiled.
"Be our guest! Be our guest!"
The feather dusters, along with Plumette circled around Lumiére. Their
feathers facing inwards. They flew away once Lumiére began talking again.
"Life is so unnerving
For a servant who's not serving
He's not whole without a soul to wait upon"
Leta began to try to eat the food that was placed in front of her, but Lumiére pushed her silverware down.
"Ah, those good old days when we were useful
-Eh, Cogsworth?
Suddenly those good old days are gone"
Lumiére walked to the end of the table and began to pull on the table cloth. Leta tried to reach for her food, but it was being pulled away from her.
"Too long, we've been rusting
Needing so much more than dusting
Needing exercise, a chance to use our skills"
Cogsworth fell on the ground beside Lumière, and Chapeau helped the
two of them back onto the table.
"Most days, we just lay around the castle
Flabby, fat, and lazy
You walked in and oops-a-daisy"
Inside the kitchen was Mrs. Potts, who was dancing near the sink and singing.
"It's a guest! It's a guest!
Sake's alive, well I'll be blessed!
Wine's been poured and thank the Lord
I've had the napkins freshly pressed
With dessert, she'll want tea
And my dear, that's fine with me
While the cups do their soft-shoein'
I'll be bubbling, I'll be brewing"
Mrs. Potts hopped down from where she was to check everything out.
She saw that Chip was dirty and went to go clean him up.
"I'll get warm, piping hot
Heaven's sakes! Is that a spot?
Clean it up! We want the company impressed"
On the cart, her and Chip headed out into the dining area. The cart stopped right in front of Leta, who smiled as the mother and son pair.
"We've got a lot to do
Is it one lump or two?
For you, our guest!"
"She's our guest!"
"She's our guest!"
"She's our guest"
Plumette and the other feather duster were dressed up nicely as they formed a tower.
"Be our guest! Be our guest!
Our command is your request
It's been years since we've had anybody here
And we're obsessed"
The feather dusters flew into the wine, causing it to get on the table.
" With your meal, with your ease
Yes, indeed, we aim to please"
Lumiére began to dance in the rain of wine.
"While the candlelight's still glowing
Let us help you, we'll keep going"
At the other end was Cogsworth coming out in sort of an Arabic vibe. A
big dance number with everyone broke out.
"Course by course, one by one
'Til you shout, "Enough! I'm done!"
Then we'll sing you off to sleep as you digest
Tonight, you'll prop your feet up
But for now, let's eat up
Be our guest!
Be our guest!
Be our guest!
Please, be our guest!"
Once it was over, everything was rolled away and everything returned back to normal. Lumiére had a dish behind his back and offered it to Leta "Pudding?"
She laughed and took it. Finally, now she could eat.
